pictures
and of we really really appreciate you guys and we are gonna

about the trivia will be drinking
drink really fun exposition
how to make drinks things like that gonna happen
are you gonna do but the mixology our Jimmy
like how to make a Skype I'll that one that said
a ride back commercial yet
his was it was did nice that's nice
noted when up
Martini & Rossi on the rocks say yes

right about that member called dry sack on the road
they had with the pop up where you stupid
hammel called Reid
dry sack on the ride kathy lee gifford give right here
drop
it also came in like a bit like a burlap sack
yet commit for lab yet maybe that's why it's called
sec what this is the he'll be really excited to be here
live strea 24-hour here
and view happened at work promotional about
actually going to start 24-hour tell
on right so we're gonna have a regularly scheduled program on Friday and then
we're going to
streamline for additional 24 hours there
actually gonna go longer than 24 hours stick around and you'll hear more about
that
but so far you know the details that we have it will be a lot of fun you get to
hear from a lot of different house which
really excited about gets time quick
sir Thursday I'm it starts Thursday and it happens through to Friday
so yes Android yeah all I thought it was
its start on Thursday sorry for making it confusing
starts Thursday during a regularly scheduled program goes through till
Friday you're not gonna get
a better promotion this for any event
but anyway
the information that we have at the moment let's go ahead so to stories
tune in Wednesday yes good idea good
should alright
with Google and Facebook Google have joined out looking for those of you who
have been paying attention to
the american exchange Legislative Council they have been behind
many many bills and legislation
that would presses are not in favor of course the Koch brothers are huge
wonders about like
so they usually try to pass legislation that goes against climate change
and they also try to pass legislation successfully pass legislation
pertaining to for-profit prisons and also to
immigration so good example that is actually SB 1070 in Arizona that was a
very controversial bill
that alley help now with all information people are wondering why
Facebook and Google would join Alec especially considering the fact that
both
two companies consider themselves to be green during a recent
panel discussion on renewable energy bill we'll
who is what Facebook higher-ups actually
answer that question here's what he had to say we're
min rooms in
his where
always
storms
up
room windows company also rawlins
or is are are up
and you know where you working with Alec up
it is not yes it's not to oppose really it's not the case you're trying to
oppose renewable energy legislation
its up and is going the same bold
Boyd
yeah but I love that their the person who ever that woman was who just
you know said what's going on to the next question that person
existed every penny whoever *** and that person is all
under up by that we have to get past this we have to move on to the next i'd
can't stand that person never why why
why do they think that you have to do that you know why why is it why can't
the so here's the question
we're actually having something interesting happened our panel
which seemed dole otherwise well I like the fact that he said
his response was you know we don't necessarily agree with everything right
water things that you agree with that alec is Delia
gotta give me that list *** wide join them and what it is that you think
that's good that they're doing
so now we know why your partner's you just can't say that's a very easy way to
get rid of that question raised by saying well
with everything they do what do you agree what is it that you do agree with
that's a great point
it's like the people just like a I'm going over these guys housewife their
beer
right we do know that there are your white supremacist the other
beer area so if possible I don't know but there's a blindness
to that that just shows how out of control these businesses are
the e-myth they are due yet they just blindly all
but job would you agree that there's like this
it's like a symptom on the current system that we have set up now
right where all corporations feel obligated to donate money to all
political action committees whether they're
democratically lead or Republicans are leading it
because they wanna have some clout they wanna have some say over legislation so
maybe this is just the symptom about
and I'm not trying to say that I'm giving them a pass on it I definitely
disagree with them being part about like
especially considering the fact that Facebook once its data centers to be run
up by renewable energy at least 25 percent
by 2015 yet so this kinda goes against all that
and I definitely think that these corporations want the influence and if
you're looking to be influential not
at like the federal level which they already donate I'm sure directly to
candidates but if you want
access to state and local level politics alec is one of the most successful
lobbying group in terms actually legislation passed i've seen in the past
few years
it so this is a quick like a quick way to get to that
and I don't but I don't know Google doesn't need an express train to that
I mean face but it looked as if they might I don't think about
energy but I think if you're talking about me
like local I guess the or county level
net neutrality laws be like things like that I don't see the environment like I
know that they're focusing on that video
but me the summer I C Allen forgot like they're there now
trying to pass bills in multiple states to eliminate them
men but there's those things is voting voting ID and things like that
I don't know what bill at home with the 17th amendment is basically I
Alec or at least in these areas alec is against direct
election a popular election of senators
that seems insane I just saying that Alec doesn't
to pass legislation or working 'cause that we would agree with what we see in
the new
as well as doing something bad know could be doing something good I just
never seen a case I go into every direct beneficiary
above the 17th amendment it's the people and Alec
hoop somehow get to have the mic NZ's
at and and the pat robertson all these people from the state's directly
elected they're the beneficiaries said that the the barbara boxer who
represents a state with the gazillion people
has as much power in the Senate as my Kenzie represents a stay with four
people
yeah i mean that that and that is that dramatic that manifests them
so at I don't understand why in the world they want to get rid of the 17th
the metal is because maybe because the democrats are charging
somehow they can reject them well that it's clearly a leader
to to what the democrats done to Harry Reid filibuster response but still
II its it's an absurd think it's it's it's what is the
to slicing off your nose to nose but you play today think
I I would just at ballpark
it's not that big a difference anymore but the parties this place far as
Corporate Controller corporate legions do you think I mean yeah I agree with
you I really don't
think that that the politicians are the beholder donors
as proved by this last the gun vote where ninety percent of the public
wanted it
even to the back to the you know seventy percent the public wanted a public
option including the AMA came round finally
and still never even came up you know so it
it's dark our government no longer responsible responsive to
to the people yeah so what happens that but but the Johns right on that there
has to be a way of looking at it and saying
for Google sale listen out we can't we're not gonna go with
Alec because what we're gonna do what we want to make change on a local level
we're gonna impact that change because we're Google want the richest companies
in the world
and we will start a an action committee that says we want to do whatever
src on a local level but to blindly go along with allocated to go to the party
cuz there's beer there
in the sand and because everybody's going thats
that to me is is is a real problem I think it's important as was pointed out
yeah I
in the way that I see it is if I were Google or Facebook I would just cut out
the middleman why do you need
I like to push for legislation that you like all you need to do is buy
politician you can buy them so
she I agree with their yes but when you get down to like state-level partly with
a lot of politicians and they don't necessarily
like Google I don't know how much they know about the state legislature
Alabama or something having an organization like I like that has
offices in basically every state in the country and probably most areas are
those dates
that like that sort of thing is a short curly to influence at that level
well while you're doing that you're destroying your PR image your intention
to hurt your funding for legislation that goes again something that you are
so proud out that you like to boast about
just to give you a quick example that cool I T in 2012 actually
had Google as the top score among all tech companies in part because companies
such as Microsoft
AT&T remembers about like we're not gonna change because obviously didn't
really give a crap about that
and in terms of what Facebook I'm so I will Google had to say
out the DNA have Google isn't just about being an environmental steward
it's a basic fundamental issue for the company well that's the case
I mean your you're doing something that goes against what you just said
in the proof is in the pudding who are you finding why are you finding that
and just the fact that we have big companies
that need to find a way to get involved in local politics
is is the problem to begin with the the power the company's at
that it and it is totally ambiguous a as to party is to use just say
the fact that that's going on at all speaks to a huge problem in our country
that a company like Google
would need a middleman to get to the state legislature Iowa in the first
place they shouldn't have anything to do with the state legislature I'll let you
know
and so that's that's a problem that's a bigger problem that needs solving the
Wolfpack the problem well i right just you know how
Google does find out about the state legislature in Alabama
they'd the Google Yahoo I the media
that people they pointed
the think they think he pointing to its help Microsoft was in the political game
and that may cause got sued by the federal government for being a monopoly
in bundling and all those things
so this is a response to that we want to call their pants down
and we wanna we don't get screwed over by not being in the game so that's what
they're saying
%uh ike agree with it that you're big enough to make your own game
you need to get in bed with Allegheny to your YouTube your Google
so with you guys all right let's move on to a little bit a foreign policy
%uh senator Diane Feinstein was on CNN she was talking about national security
and whether or not we're any safer today than we were two years ago
here's what she had to say cool
run I read yours is a with I think terrorism worldwide
statistics indicate that the fatalities our way out
on there are new bombs very big bombs
products being reinforced those bombs they are bombs
go through magnetometers the bomb-maker
still alive by you know I'm or group than ever
and there is a huge all levels out there
while possible all yeah filed by me but by
good about bob I'm I guess
in a focus group was run and people's spiked with the word
Bob yeah I would guess that wasn't if ever there was an example
fear-mongering that would be it ensured it well the way it is but it but it was
laughable so it wasn't like I think he'll have it was too late in fact that
yet but I was an attempt to
should not specific about anything right you like oh their bombs and better
well I think she was 17 she said some other morbid big
never got there it was okay magnet thing yeah there are trucks a great big box
below
there all was incredible to me was incredible to me
in now more than but
whatever we have our civil liberties be
violated by the NSA indiscriminately collecting all this data on us
and people abroad right and apparently that's not enough we're still not safe
no you know more galleries are being destroyed
yet we're not safer today than two years ago when day
so what reconsider your foreign policy strategy to national security strategy
well i think is an ironic is that with when feinstein
delivers that line its lap okay for so many people living in like Pakistan
Yemen and parts of North Africa
like delivering a lead they've got bombs they've got big bombs they got ***
drones with bombs it's scary out here getting more dangers every year
that actually true to their variants that we have all these
fear-mongering when they're actually being destroyed a daily
its reagan also because there's no way to quantify I mean its it takes
one bomb right it takes one gun to shoot a president
it takes one bomb to kill the bill it dried its allegedly what allegedly well
whatever the case
it big little too there's no way to say if we're more
that more dangerous now or not you know if we're safer now or not there is no
way
to quantify to these politicians get up on television and they start talking
about
how did sober everyone was watching the live stream we have
a blackout so unfortunately interrupted but we are going to continue on the
first hour probably gonna go
a little longer than usual today but we were talking about dianne feinstein on
CNN she was having a discussion about how do you
the US actually a lot less shape today than it was two years ago
and fascinating about is you know
same person who wants to redefined what a journalist is right
want to consider bloggers journalists because bloggers are the first
to come out say that the NSA spying is ridiculous and trample on our civil
liberties
and she all want to make excuses for
some other foreign policy and national security legislation that we
well found interesting is no one ever talks about drop
right and how drones are actually making us less safe so a recent example was
written about
in the LA Times and there was a reason drone strike in Afghanistan on Sept 7th
that killed fourteen civilians according to residents in this particular area
this was the Kunar province in Afghanistan
and the LA Times spoke to a number of people in this
area that said that they family members including an
eighteen month old baby as a result strong strike
and in the US come out said no eleven people were killed and they were mostly
Taliban fighters
now one one person who was interviewed the following
there were pieces my family all over the road I picked up those pieces from the
road and from the truck
and wrap she to bury them
this issue right now is because if you're discussion
about how the United is less safe today
than it was two years ago what discussion about what we're doing a
broad in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan
where they're literally drop why around in the air people don't know
when they're gonna be bomb we the definition being left
safe here in the United States I mean if you're going to see real estate be
specific about it and
you from that video fine with not specific about
at all in the political discourse about national security
you are not allowed to talk about what we do
internationally the drones are good example of this in the modern era but
they're certainly earlier examples like I mean
when we were in the run-up to the war in Iraq responding to 911
we will talk about arming up and the way that
created Rep but you weren't supposed to talk about
as a liberal before iraq talk about the drone
now and how you were to try to design a program to poison a regional people
against you
I don't know what we could do a better job withdrawals
it not just the killing the completely dehumanization
killing that we our pilots to me many killing you inside me
third dehumanizing bird either
probably with all three view on my opinion %uh the ball
drones and and and II
my biggest problem with feinstein as as I said before the power blue
is is that there's no way to quantify this dianne feinstein going on
television saying this
foolishness about you know drones
with them bomb big bomb big terrible
bomb they're gonna bomb that doesn't do anything she's not saying here's what we
need to do to be safer she's not
denouncing drones if she believes the drones are to be done now so there's
nothing productive
going on there and there's no way to say that we're safer or not safe
we were safe on September 11 2001 and then we were
later that morning you know i mean that's that's the point and and so it
in in terms of that or so we believed anyway in terms of that process
this this conversation that they're having on on what was that face the
nation.
or or whatever show was on was on CNN okay so what does matter was a
the conversation we're having is so unproductive
because it gets us here talking about you know how
house all the conversations but not about what what fine safety
I think that it's productive for very specific group of people and the
there they are the type of people who profit of going to war or continuing war
in places like
that's a great point because it could be that diet plans as talking about the
people that did make
aeronautics applies here in the United in her state of California
I and and she's representing them on
camera there which she should be directly elected by the 17 the moment
anyway but
that's another conversation but but but
you know it so I I just think this whole idea were less that that's that's george
W bush speak because there's no way up
look here unfortunately we live in a country where
nobody seems to get reelected by emphasizing
the progress we've made house we are the president
per what the people get elected by scaring people in voting
yeah and I think look dianne feinstein I don't know is
necessarily the best example if a person is trying to whip up fear
to put us in a future conflict there certainly senator do that
but for her especially with something she said over the last year
regard for intelligence gathering she doesn't need to generate
here to proceed another war she just generate enough beer to justify with
has been doing all the revelations group yep that's been our goal
as a way not chilling thing about this article in the LA times which
humanize the people were killed in Afghanistan withdrawal
unmanned drones which make it seem arsonist
and less human somehow even though you still killing but that this
so it didn't really human life people were killed in this family is a baby
you're the one you're with their job loral up
talk about it in it was hard for me to read this story
and this i think is the most gripping one because those people with predator
drone
going over their heads all day thought this one
read this one little sense it says the governor's account suggests that
some the trucks occupancy blow up a truck with people in it
were indeed armed insurgents the drone may have tracked them in targeted the
pickup
and because the Reaper drones often trail insurgents for
hours even day before an attack is ordered
holy yet living in that type of environment where you
know that their drones following your every move oftentimes
the person who control that drone or launches you know that bomb
get information wrong they have incorrect intelligence in that case
so people feel as though the United States terrorizing
and that so-called the hostility toward the United States
your back I know decision politicians make
that makes the United States which is why bring up this drone story in
response I
that but and I wanted I'm at one point opposite
let me read a few quote because I'd
no I'm sure they are and I'm I was gonna stop you from reading what I was saying
that the app just that
ago okay so one person said to the american people want
want to spend their money this way on drones to kill our women and children
another person says the American say they are here to protect us know they're
here to kill us and terrorized our women and children
so you billions with that kind of mentality
cause hostility toward the United States isn't going to
fuel the fire with by at it clearly will
one two generations people raised
8 the United States but they always seem in those quotes way
more rational and understanding then we would be in that situation
in China drop will bomb in the United
talk about free your if Iran or something
deleted grown live near whether drop
we would freak out improbable 100
drone their who'd
correction because I think that I was trying to put myself into perspective
for the people in these communities
there terrorized I don't fundamentally think the drone should not be used
think that the way they're being used people again against
ap because
not drumstick but eventually our
combat aircraft human years were already making
to change that youth back unmanned
well their future you know when we talk about drones in Afghanistan base about
$3,500 drone
missions that day in Afghanistan so it's like terrible could
surrounded by drone so I guess the theory that the United States government
is practicing is
how many more these radical terrorist Muslims do we have to blow up before
they leave us alone
but theory here while it on a lot we just start
delivering Amazon that'd
I think will be much I somebody made the suggestion we just take a billion
descent
two billion dollars a week fighting a pretend war in Afghanistan
what takers a plane and prop that every weekend
people I bet it would help fix the problem a lot faster
alright did you have any but only because I was cutting you off but but
basically I i just think that
it's not there and right for us to say
represented this hatred of America began the day the first
grown here I know you're not
want to clarify there's a mystery to it that is in we're not creating
I hate out of nothing in so many of these places and it's it's a little bit
part of why
were there even though I don't think we ought to be there and never thought we
should have been there but it is certainly what informed RB
all right now we want to domestic policy
about what people signed up through the health care exchange
Newport website it's been in the news quite a bit lately
and the Obama administration saying that they have now
fix the website to the point that over 50,000 people can actually be on the
site any given time
or about 800,000 people day so
we don't know whether or not this is actually true December 1st
to be the first day where you can noticed some changes in the website
and how effective it is but what I do find fascinating
is they had four times more
than the amount sign ups in October some more and more people are signing up
we don't know actually gonna be able to get their goal
a finding up enough people to make the Affordable Care Act were but
they are estimating that as many as seven million people will sign up for
health care
through the federal exchange so before we get into what republicans are saying
about this
I'm wondering the panel and what do you guys think about this website being
improved
well I'd like the whole idea hey the website doesn't work with you
healthcare or under that mud.
computers up
its I think I think that each other to get a bad PR job by
Obama administration messaging again not their stride
campaign vacating any other time and you know if this
health reform is going work a portly
but it will work and people who couldn't pop mortgage
are going to get it's going to help a lot of people and also read more slowly
come out
and again republicans have no answer
they have no alternative plan like a this and let's do this
nothing so that's why they're attacked not realistic I don't think
organic continued the end game remains the same
I mean the republicans want to do away with Obamacare and the democrats
had a problem here with the website Obama administration is to me said today
horrendous horrendous job message in this they ought to be ashamed of
themselves need
should be ashamed of themselves for soul for so long now the way that message
every initiative they wanted to do from guns down
down to to Obamacare but in any case
the ideas the democrats and and the president still have their
their legislation its gonna come through this storm
and the republicans are still gonna try and get rid of it though today the
republicans did make news
by taking the defunding the government away from
Obama defunding Obamacare way from on the government they separated the two
so they they've now decided they're not then attach that to
the funny government which with Danielle or the
in a couple but the that no longer there now so
he think that is actually that they've realized that with that didn't work for
them
so so we can still complain about here and we can still be fun to go
we're just not gonna make them to go well i kno
just randomly thing was a week ago I decided to just
look to see what my rate would be because we through our company we will
pay very much
up dollar court or something
and so went to the website and immediately by me
help which I haven't heard any reports
that being problematic not with not at all imagine both
times organs have still have a big problem bro
california has an eye problems really I don't think from the from the get-go
yeah
have to imagine that allowing state have set up their website
exchanges probably having less the problem
federal website so many people
and yet the state's these things republican governor
legislators up order stopping medicaid from being expanded
the big problems that you're seeing in those states that like their Obamacare
all I think a lot of ways dude blocking the good part
about actually yep well
interesting now Republicans are coming out the same republicans that were very
very critical
the website and they're saying if the website is
real issue we want inside
focus on the Affordable Care Act overall okay just to give you one example
that air on red stay said the following:
concert need to keep their focus on the law overall the website is a reflection
terrible law the lines causing millions to lose insurance
millions more to pay more for insurance and and the best
the democrats can do is claim it will work well the GOP didn't
think nasty talked about it okay said
up setting up
the exchanges stopping a public option for being playstop
single-payer those really all who actually doing something other you up
drives me crazy is how republicans are supportive love it
in Massachusetts but they're not supported on a federal level like this
modeled after something
a republican made happened in Massachusetts so it's incredible to me
I think the reason why he did like I should run for president but had
me is that if
public come out with this themselves and not the democrats
they would love it right because they get the name recognition for it
it's something that gives a huge handout to private companies
so why you so much you want private companies because the political Ossipee
concede that their political folded is gonna get credit for
any credit for yet petty politics is what's happened it happened
me we will call here but the main
call what it is they will not call that these report
healthcare the BOP it there's to
up parties trying to fix a problem in their isn't there's one party
trying to keep that problem going for as long as they can
and guys like Ted Cruz who I got mine screw you
he's got the best Richard health care plan you could possibly United States
and he's out there fighting every day to make sure poor people don't get theirs
called a train wreck the poor people get the poor people getting health care
to Ted Cruz equals a train wreck that's a quote
yes 11 quote from Eric he says the website
make fix we must deny them the opportunity to fix the law itself
let the american people see big government in all its glory
then offer repeal seep
a politician ride
this is where you re John Quinn three by the way yeah Italy
are John Cornyn said so Obamacare speak now
that the website has been improved not on your life
they wanted to fail for the exact reason that Jimmy Dore mention right now
like they don't want Democrats to get credit for something that could
potentially be very successful
and we all know that the Affordable Care Act has Kings right and you need
a foundation to improve upon if you have these types of members in congress
you're never gonna be up
it's also not just the political play it's the insurance companies
that are telling his republican senators a we've been supporting you all along
this is not good for our our industry you cannot support this legislation so I
its its it has to do with the corporate structure politics
as well I i follow John mornin on
Twitter I guess I I need a new hobby but media
but he is he is a one track
tweeter on Obamacare from the very get-go all
tweet about guide legal and make the point that
they won't even get behind this health care reform which is a Republican
market-based
health care reform this is like the idea here
so when they have to reject their own ideas because the politics because they
don't want someone else get credit for some other idea
they now become a party a no idea it how you win the battle of ideas
with you don't what you do you try to suppress the vote
right right gerrymander and you try to get it all the people who don't agree
with you
however the electoral process and its obvious that that's what's happening
and up it I look forward to the republicans having more ideas in the
future
are right we'll take a quick break let's do that we come back
we happen of of them video mashup
numbers making the argument that climate change isn't something we need to worry
about
there reasoning stick around for that and more
welcome back to the entire 11 segment a political stories for you guys
I'm not entirely sure whether or not this is live and
my computer will not refresh so I can't do any updates on IndieGoGo
but it doesn't live and you have just donated thank you we really appreciate
it
all right let's move on so dude
people in this country to admit the fact that
climate change exists or that climate change is called
in part by human activity and reason why
is because you have certain republican that will say that that's absolutely not
true
or you have the Koch brothers fun scientific studies that say the climate
change is not man-made
when I particularly love is when you have
people who say that we have nothing to worry about because got is on our side
in fact our elected officials think that take a quick look at this video that was
produced by quite a bit daft
they did a great job by doing this little mashup and
unbelievable take a look good still up there
the area people who think
we human beings with me to change what he is doing
in the climb is to me ranges september's come
Matthew 20 or your and only when
declared over me
and one Reuters for mister not be destroyed by a
like to other issues mister chairman today we have about 300
any parts-per-million in the atmosphere I think in a region
dinosaurs we had more flora and fauna you're probably at work now
or there is a the Allied
I would point out that you're a believer in the Bible
one would have to say the great flood is an example climate that certainly when
because man can
it over developed had carbon entered
as creatures good
wide
and again thank you to climate desk for that awesome video
my favorite quote was actually from Rick Santorum was like
we were promised for to rate 3 I
complaining about at it honest I mean
skip for me from where he was standing at least these
being honest about I I love Joe Barton the car
indexes the great flood was a an example
climate change Katrina though nothing to do with my project
but do with anything you know pic
is it what'd be nice just to see once in a while
01 somebody wanna be when these
bible thumpers start talk about the Bible undecided
somebody would just say them hey maybe you put your first century magic book
away
talk about like grown-ups now see what happens Mike Burke was actually about
dinosaurs
presumably what here about up years ago
there is that so often
general importantly the republicans in that
don't agree with the side mostly because they haven't read it
when they talk about like not believe in evolution know it exist
well we can show you with bacteria
insects think relatively short life span we can show you
evolution acting under controlled few weeks month
but we can show that it happens as a demonstration that
the week that climate
when this first time we've been this disease remembered
they're not fifteen-years-old their acid rain they remember the hole in the ozone
layer
we'll release these chemicals into the atmosphere produce acid rain
CFC's produced the whole layer and thankfully earlier environmental
protection laws
help to reverse those terrible conditions that people
I'm worry might be reversed we doing this again like
we have this is yes caused
so going back to what Michael said about hey what Lisa honest
that's my question whether or not it really is honest because
you have all this evidence proving not only that climate change is real but it
is man
right but you mean it's honest about them just taking advantage of the
resources
yeah I mean like that's what they're there that they do what they say it's
consistent
II you know I you know how I feel about Rick Santorum's I mean yeah
but but and so I'm not even applauding impermeable he's so
there there so shameless that they don't have any qualms about hitting up
and saying feel weird about saying that exactly here trying to hire you think
who can agree
so a good everything about us yeah
court but what i'm saying is
I don't know whether or not they're being genuine in there religious
explanations for what they're doing
are there you are they using religion as an excuse for doing something that
their campaign donors want them to go yeah
because I'd believe that someone like
representative john Shimkus can say something like
you know the world that really believe there's a nuclear war
or something like that then what you want to destroy our planet
gotta look out for a okay so much to everyone
believe not well I think yet what you're saying is like he's just
using that to things is his
it %um to make them think what he does knows better but he doesn't
also do you think that these people believe this i mean i think john Shimkus
you know you look at what jobs this right things he says even this
you believe that he believes this to these there are some wackos out there
and at the house
represented at the house of representatives that he represents a
majority of wackos who think that he is right in line with the way they think
rude Hereward
the National republicans as it
there the only problem don't see it that way but they're always going to be
the regressive government we're going to point to the road
years ago that's always going to exit what we need
are outspoken democrat and we had a liberal activist outsider
between the democratic government as well that will every day if necessary
make that point them out to be the insane ridiculous
magic believing figures that they are a gangly Obama has done
a couple things in regard to regulating carbon in the atmosphere
cap standards and things like that like those things about was actually done
but we need this to be it is the most important issue
liberal like presumably is going to cause massive devastation worldwide
over the course of the next 100 years but yeah medicaid is important to
but I think that the survival the human race long term is more important and I
don't think that it's too much to ask the Democrats in the Senate and House
bring it up as often as possible
again always goes back to whose financing them in whose funding their
campaign
eligible I imagine doesn't you know unfortunately
because it's like the deficit we have the scene or miss deficit that nobody
really thinks about that doesn't affect us now
you know we're not to worry about will be dead by the time that the way that
the same thing with the
with the area people think about what matters to them in the moment and
unfortunately a for climate change that the big hurdle they have to get over
also there's not one catalyzing
that that happens except devastation climate change so there is in the
Columbine that makes you say oh we gotta start talking about
you know climate their day that's what they're lacking and
sadly their their catalyzing that would be a devastating
seem like we're getting used to devastating weather events
yes well in a way yes I mean I think so i think that
you know that's a whole other conversation because it's about the
media and the way they're covered and
its or even years as to the but I i yeah I know your tragedy fatigue or something
yeah
together every week there's a tornado rip killed a Jesus
great another way let's go down as a everybody's doing a prayer chain we
gotta
did well dying the same thing was shooting I mean unfortunately a
there was a point where if there was a shooting we would cover it on the show
I mean I a mass shooting we would cover it
I mean it would be something that would be discussed for weeks and weeks and now
it happened so often that we've become desensitized to it I think it you can
save a similar thing
or a similar thing about what's happening with you know weather patterns
and and these
its regular drop back up the 24 hour one of the
Miriam but the the drove the 24-hour news cycle is that we become numb to it
you know where we're glued to it for a moment then we want something else
solo one final story for you guys I really wanted to cover this cuz it kinda
shows you that
racism is still alive and well in this country especially in some parts of the
south
are a predominantly white and wealthy
area Baton Rouge would like to secede from the city proper
they would like to be referred to as Saint George and part of the reason why
is because they want to make sure that their tax dollars go toward
the white well be are now they won't say that but it's pretty clear based on this
story
so the new city saint george would be the fifth largest in the state
and it would have over 170 107,000 residents
it would include to have the largest tax revenue bases in the state
Perkins Rowe and the mall of Louisiana
I now this will disproportionately hurt the black community's
especially because the fact that this started off as an idea up
creating a new school district and the school district would mostly benefit
up the white wealthier residents in the area and it would fund that particular
school district
and it would drain resources away from the school district that already exist
there
now I according to the Baton Rouge area chamber Baton Rouge residents will be
disproportionally paying taxes to the proposed municipality
given city governance is reliance on sales tax revenues
and John for gurneys who is a city planner says the problem is that the
whole parish build a major retail centre there
you have ninety million go from one hand to another
and that's going to cause a major catastrophe to the finances are this
parish
now keep in mind the builders massive mall right and all the taxpayers
resources went into that
and all the sudden this rich wealthy area want to secede
and become its own city and it's going to be a huge problem especially for
those who
contributed to that mall rights and also the poor people and thats
in the city now will go to that ball friend and get their tax dollars there
but there's no revenue is no commercials stuff happening in their neighborhood
exactly cell
and say george was a saint who was executed in before his execution gave
all his goods
and and a and accumulation to the poor
ironic which is around I see I have to assume that there probably is a pretty
fair does the racism going this decision but I don't even think we need to assume
that for to be an awful thing
I think that what primarily driving to do that too to do this is just economic
concerns I'm sure
he goes debt goes back to socioeconomic status right
and its there's no question the socioeconomic status is tied to race in
this country
so if they're doing it it's not necessarily because all we don't like
black people it's because
oh we don't want to be associated with these poor people why should our
taxpayer
dollars go toward their schools and funding their children there's a very
individualistic us versus them to assess the other side of the tracks mentality
you know and and its
its this notion that you there used to be white flight
in in the AM you know and and this isn't white flight because they're staying
there just changing the you know they're saying well we're already here
would like to make sure yet white white rewrite
a and and its it its
what are the most heinous stories you can imagine in america
because it again I mean it in the age that we're talking about
a you know people say oh it's it's terrible to to redistribute wealth that
to take care of our port we have to fight this health care that gonna give
a the health care legislation in good health care to the poor
we're now saying we were so tired of above
you know Arkham doing right by our community that we just want to make it
not our community anymore
close our eyes to make it go away and that its its it's such a hideous story
kinda reminds me %uh the northern counties in Colorado they want to see
the former Conservative utopia
new state we gotta in California the Jefferson
wants to produce its own state like at one point
like we worried about the entire country II least liberals that
we we cared about each other we were less focused on wealth and more on the
Commonwealth
like we understood that we're in it together and the idea that you can
redraw the border
and let them just fester in poverty and that will never affect us over here
that is insane closed of worldview if they suffer over there it will hurt you
so that you can't equate the two though job because the other the secessionists
in Colorado
or not you know they're whackos and they're not there looked at by
everyone is kind of crazy in louisiana this seems to stand a chance
and it's not in it it's looked at as somewhat mainstream which is the danger
it's what makes the the whackos in Colorado it's a good news story it's a
go look at these crazy people want to create a good
conserve utopia but they're looked at as not as absolutely off-the-wall
these people at that might work they might be able to get through and that's
what scariest about this
aren't we gonna take a quick break when we come back the second hour
the fun our it's a bit of a public those like a
are has on Flickr up
