The grooms father, wasn’t going to be able to be at the wedding because he had passed away
So, she wanted to create a piece
That would somehow, have him there
We had, been talking about it since we got engaged, of how we can incorporate it, we didn’t want a moment of silence
We didn’t want something that was, you know, gonna call attention to it necessarily,
But I just wanted something unique and special to him and his family, so then I thought,
Maybe there’s something that his mom had that said “Love, Dad” or had his signature on it, that they could put on a pendant
And so, it’s a really touching idea, and the piece of him, is his signature,
Of course! I mean that’s something that is indelibly marked by his hand before he passed on
You know, I took that, and I painstakingly, sat and traced that signature
Trying to get every little ink bump in the ink line in that
And uh, it worked out really neat
I mean it was just one of those projects again, that’s just touching
Obviously, I would’ve wanted him to be there, in person.
But he couldn’t be, so, this was the perfect thing when I opened it
And seeing it, the only thing I could thing of was how perfect it was
And how good a job she did,
This was a nice way to have him there with me without him being there physically.
