I think the Guard Fit Challenge would be extremely beneficial for the entire student body. I
know that it helps the team as well, but it would probably be more beneficial for the
regular students in my classroom. It's very disheartening to see students these days that
are not physically fit. Having someone else come in and put a different perspective on
it would really be beneficial, you know. It gets then rejuvenated, more excited about
it, it's a fresh start, and most definitely, you know, just reinforces those things that
we try to work on every day. I think the Guard Fit Challenge is a lot different from other
programs that I know that my dance team has worked with. This one is much more hands-on.
Having the examples out there, working with the students, telling them exactly how to
do the sit-ups, how to do the push-ups, letting them know, correcting them when they've done
it incorrectly. That was much different from before. Maybe they were large-scale programs
that really couldn't focus on the kids individually, and I really like that aspect of the Guard
Fit Challenge.
