Here is a detailed introduction to your
student portal, CONNECTIONS.
Once you submit an application to Florida State College,
you are given a user ID for your Connections account.
Connections is a web- based student portal you can use to access your student email, Blackboard, financial aid,
grades, registration, payment and much more! On the Connections welcome page you will find the log- in
screen and several helpful links to web resources here at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
After you have logged in, you will see the My Home tab, one of the 6 tabs across the top of the connection screen.
Each tab contains info and resources for your success at Florida State College.
On the My Home page you will find 5 main sections:
My Alerts, Quick Links, Enrollment Tracker Tool, Quick Schedule and Evaluate Instruction.
In the My Alerts section you can view personal and college- wide alerts, find the link for your
Florida State College email and program of study/degree audit. Your degree audit is like
your road map to help you find the courses you’ll need to complete your chosen program of study.
You and your advisor will use this tool to help guide your course selection throughout your educational journey.
The next tab is My Records. It contains 3 main sections:
My Personal Info, Enrollment Tracker and Student Records Alerts.
My Records also contains links to Transcripts, Grades, SOAP, Finance and Financial Aid.
SOAP is the history of your academic progress. For a detailed explanation, check out the college catalog
under Academics. Through Finance, you can pay your bills and tuition online.
You can click on Financial Aid to find your financial aid application status.
More financial aid information is available on the college’s main web page.
The next tab is My Classes where you are able to view your schedule and
links to search and register for classes. You will learn more about registering for classes in the next section.
The next tab is My Career. This contains links to the Career Development Center as
well as the Florida Choices webpage. The next tab is My Community.
It contains 3 sections: Student Life and Leadership, College Resources and Campus Locations.
You can also find links to Student Activities, Campus Maps, and the Library and Learning Commons.
The final tab is My Advisor. Here you will find links to your Degree Planner which
will show you courses that you have completed. Degree Shopping feature if you are
unsure about the program you have chosen and would like to view degree requirements for other programs.
Also student polices including student rights and responsibilities.
