Hi, my name is Jarred Cummings, I'm here with Expert Village and we are talking about basic
quad riding. Now we are going to talk about riding down hills. So now riding down hills,
it's the same thing, we want to keep a good posture but instead of leaning forward like
we go on an uphill. We're going to lean backwards. We're going to adjust our weight so where
we can lean backwards in going downhill. You want to make sure you're not going to grab
a fistful of brakes going downhill cause again with the weight of the quad that could your
quad to slide down and possibly turn sideways. So we want to keep it going nice and even,
straight down here, not adjusting leading left or right. We just want to keep it nice
and steady, ease on the brakes, if we have to ease on the brakes; otherwise, you want
to let the engine braking do a lot of the work for you. If it's a steep hill you can
adjust your gears to go into a really low gear so it has a lot more engine braking than
a high gear. So again posture, adjusting your weight, scooting forward a little bit, keeping
you weight leaned back just a little bit, full control of your brakes, your foot and
hand.
