[Ray Comfort] Well I don’t believe Evolution is a viable science, I think it’s a theory
of man. [Thunderf00t (In Clip)] Theories are what...
No, theories are descriptive elements of science. [Ray Comfort] But there’s no evidence, there’s
no species to species transitional forms in the fossil record, there’s nothing... But
it’s not proof of evolution. [Thunderf00t (In Clip)] That’s speciation.
[Ray Comfort] Okay, alright there’s such a thing as speciation.
[Thunderf00t] And the man admitted he had no real understanding of science or Evolution.
And the man who admitted he had no real understanding of science or Evolution then went on to write
a scientific criticism, if you can call it that, of Evolution. On the amusing side though
Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, Answers in Genesis and the Alliance of Christ had performed the
bonehead manoeuvre here by attacking the gospels to Intelligent Design. You see the whole beef
of the Intelligent Design movement was to rephrase Creationism without any mention of
God or the Bible, and then Ray and Kirk and company come along with this chestnut.
[Kirk Cameron] Now think of it, in one day the gospel and a clear presentation of Intelligent
Design will be placed into the hands of 50,000 of our future doctors, lawyers...
[Thunderf00t] The sad thing is you don’t really even have to scratch the surface to
work out how dishonest the duo’s intent is here. Kirk outlines the problem groups
as being psychologists and biologists. [Kirk Cameron] Did you know that a recent
study revealed that in the top 50 universities in our country, in the fields of psychology
and biology 61% of the professors describe themselves as atheists or agnostics?
[Thunderf00t] And he goes on to suggest that they should target doctors, lawyers and politicians.
[Kirk Cameron] And get the gospel into the hands of this generation, the hands of doctors,
lawyers and politicians... Of 50 thousand of our future doctors, lawyers and politicians.
[Thunderf00t] Ahh, here’s a suggestion guys, go to the biology departments and talk to
them directly, how would that be for honesty? Look fellas I’ll make it simple, you want
to play scientist for a bit, that’s fine. Personally I would suggest you go the usual
route of going to university and getting an education of what the millions of very smart
people have gone before you have discovered rather than trying to rediscover it yourself.
But if you really insist on still playing scientist there are those here on YouTube
who will be only too happy to explain the shortcomings of any opposing scientific hypothesis
you may wish to propose, you want to play? Great, in the land of the free the floor is
yours. Outline your hypothesis, but let’s have no more of these cheap publicity stunts
by engaging in undignified attacks on the character of a man who has been dead for over
a century.
