Well, how many Robin's does it take to branch off and become another bird themed superhero,
one. And I don't mean Tim Drake, I'm talking about the real ***... Grayson. *** Grayson
was the first Robin and took under the identity of Nightwing soon enough in the series.
This DLC for this character in Arkham City came out at the beginning of November and
is available on Xbox for 560 Microsoft points or $6.99 at a store.
This man's backstory as far as the comics appears to be he was an acrobat and his family
also were as a whole called the "Flying Graysons". After an angry mob guy kills his parents Bruce
Wayne takes this kid under his wing, and this is how he became the first Robin.
Also in the series as he became more active leading the Teen Titans, he left and took
upon the identity of Nightwing to show he was a big boy now. And you get the picture,
he's a total badass and probably one of my favorite Batman characters in existence.
Nightwing carries two batons that also have electric charge to them as well as a few other
gadgets that I feel combat wise are very different from any other characters you play as in the
game. The downside to this DLC is you don't get much story out of it, you only get two
bonus challenge maps and the ability to use night wing on any of the Riddler challenges.
The one map Nightwing came with that I enjoy the most and currently love playing on is
Wayne Manor and Main Hall. I've always loved Bruce Wayne's humble abode and now you can
do all these crazy challenges throughout it depending on what you're into.
The last thing this DLC comes with is the animated series skin for Nightwing. This is
illustrated with a great cartoonie texture and a black outline which I love about the
different skins on any of the characters animated series versions.
I feel the downloadable content in Arkham City should've expanded on the story more
rather than just more characters for the challenges. It'd be so cool to somehow tie in night wing
and switch from Batman to him in the game to do side missions pertaining to his history
in the series. Maybe someday Rocksteady will do this. Till then I'll be kicking some henchmen
butt on these maps.
