JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So we've done a few workings with moving that upbeat around and
leaving out that downbeat of three with those two eighth notes on beat one. All right, keeping
up here? There's one more and we're going to leave that for a little later, and maybe
you don't--maybe you know why already, intuitively; if not, just don't worry about it. What we're
going to move to is we're actually kinda take a step back just because we haven't covered
this yet. And we're going to take out that second note on the first beat, so we're just
going to play the downbeat of one. And then we're going to do similar to like what we
just did, we're going to move that upbeat around. So we're gonna--the first thing we're
going to do is play the downbeat of one and the upbeat of two in the kick drum. So this
is just what it sounds like with the kick in the snare, all right? Sorry. There's also
the four. I messed that up. All right, makes sense? We're just--now we're just only playing
with those two notes in the kick drum. So I'll add the hi-hat and we'll do a little
playing together in this next clip.
