There's a wide variety of drills, so I'm going to show you a few features that might help
you choose the right drill.
One of the benefits of a power drill is that it provides higher power at a constant rate.
There's two different types of chucks on the drill. One is a key chuck, the other one is
a keyless chuck. The biggest benefit of the keyless chuck is that you can actually tighten
the chuck just by hand.
The other feature we look at is whether the drill has a hammer action. The benefit of
having a hammer action on your drill is that it allows the drill to drill into masonry
surfaces.
The other feature you look at on your drill is a variable speed. Now, this is turned to
give you a higher speed. Now the higher speed is used on a smaller drill bit. You can turn
it to a lower speed when you're using the larger drill bits.
Now the last drill we'll look at is the rotary hammer drill. Now the rotary hammer drill
has an SDS chuck. Now the SDS chuck is great because you can use special bits like a chisel
bit. Once you put the chisel bit in place, you turn the feature to hammer. You now have
a mini jackhammer.
Remember to wear your personal protective equipment; your eye protection, your ear muffs,
and your dust mask. If you have any more questions about power drills, come down to your local
Bunnings Warehouse.
