Hi, my name is Mary Thinnes and I'm a skin care expert. I'm going to discuss with you
now chemical peels that are appropriate for sensitive skin. I've already prepped her skin
with the papaya and now I'm ready to apply the chemicals. As I did with the other previous
ones, I'm going to apply it with my gloved hands. And like I mentioned before, you can
actually use q-tips if you'd like. And lactic acid is the chemical that is appropriate for
sensitive skin. People that even have Rosacea, Psoriasis, Eczema, lactic acid is appropriate
for all those skin types. You have to be careful with sensitive skin because you don't want
to aggravate any conditions and cause more sensitivity because that could be bad for
the skin. So keep in mind that lactic acid is the appropriate acid for sensitive skin.
You're going to apply it the same way you did the other chemicals. Also keep in mind
the more layers that you put on, the deeper the chemicals penetrate into the skin. So,
I just put the second layer on her so that's going to penetrate deeper. You want to gauge
too, on a scale of one to ten. Ten being the most being the most you feel such as itching
or burning or stinging or a little tingly. And one being the least amount. You to always
ask what number they are on on that scale. Because if they're at like at an eight or
nine you want to neutralize them right away. And that being said that is the appropriate
chemical peel for sensitive skin.
