Hello and welcome to Insanity's to guide to 25m Immerseus.
This is the 1st boss in Siege of Orgrimmar.
This gigantic water elemental is 100% corrupted by the Sha.
For this encounter we'll want 2 tanks, 5-7 healers + a mixture of ranged and melee DPS.
Immerseus is a 2 phase fight. To start off we'll worry about phase 1.
Here he has 4 abilities. The first is a Sha Bolt which hits every raid
member every 10 seconds. Spread out 5 yards as it has a splash to anyone who is near you.
Sha bolt leads to the 2nd ability, a Sha Pool which spawns under your feet and ticks
for 75k/sec, stay spread, watch your feet and make sure you're in range of your healers.
The third ability is called Seeping Sha, before they spawn we'll see purple swirls
on the floor. Make sure to avoid them, as when they hit you they knock you up and deal 100k.
The main ability is called Swirl, a giant jet of water that he'll summon while
spinning clock wise for 10 seconds. It does a moderate amount of damage, if you're a hunter feel free to deterrence
as it negates the damage for that and many other abilities in the fight. Something to note
for tanks is Corrosive Blast which is a frontal cone ability. It increases the amount of shadow
damage you take by 300%, it lasts 45 seconds, and it stacks. This mechanic requires an offtank
to taunt. When boss hits 0% health he'll go into phase 2, the Split Phase. At which point he'll send
out 2 different kinds of adds spread evenly around the room, you can watch them fly through
the air and the ground where they're about to land is going to bubble, so make sure that you move to an area
where you'll be needed as opposed to an area that looks a little bit boring. The blobs are either Sha Puddles,
attackable and black, DPS you know what to do. When a Sha Puddle is killed, all players
within 10 yards of its location gain a buff that increases damage done to Sha Puddles
by 25%. The other kind of blob is called Contaminated Puddles which are friendly and blue. Healers,
top them off to full. Upon reaching full health, a Contaminated Puddle releases Purified Residue,
Which restores 25% mana to all allies within 10 yards and increases healing done by 75%.
Each time you kill or heal a puddle he loses 1% Corruption. So the main goal for each split phase
it to take him down by 25% Corruption. When any pool reaches Immerseus it triggers
Erupting Sha which hit for 75k. When a Purified Puddle reaches Immerseus it triggers Erupting
Water which hits for 30k. Kill and heal as many as possible.
We use Heroism/Bloodlust at the beginning of the fight
Because there's really no reason to use it at a later time.
This fight goes from Phase One to Phase Two repeatedly until Immerseus reaches 0% corruption,
and becomes fully cleansed.
