Hello, Michele Knight here.
I am your course instructor for the creating online assignments course
and i'm just going to give you a brief overview of what we're going to be
learning during this course
the main thing
is that this course
will be structured during three weeks
and during each of these weeks we'll work on a different aspect of developing your
online assignment
in the first week
we are going to take a look at the overall goal
our course
and
we will then
develop an assignment
will reinforce your course goal
and come up with the goal
of what
we want
our students to learn at the conclusion of the assignment
next
we will look in week two at
developing learning objectives
that will help you meet
the goal of that particular assignment
then we will look at study guide questions
study guide questions are simple questions but they're really meant to
help direct the students' thinking as they work on the assignment
then a week three we're going to look at creating technical and content oriented
instructions for an online assignment
and then we will put together together all of the information that we've learned in
weeks one to three to create sort of a template that you can use to help you
generate an idea for how you will write that assignment with your students
there were also be some tutorials provided so optionally you might decide
decide to go ahead and
put your fully developed assignment
up in blackboard
but even if you don't get to the point where you are able to put this fully develop
assignment updated blackboard that course planning piece and the assignment
planning piece is the most important because anyone will be happy to help
you put out the assignment in blackboard once you work through uh... the
logistics of planning the assignment
so that's what we're working on creating and planning online assignments for
blackboard and we're gonna take through this process
step-by-step during this exciting three weeks. Thanks for signing up for the
course
