When I hear people talk about the economy
or the national defect, I am overwhelmed.
When I see charts and graphics depicting the concepts involved
with the debt ceiling, or the decline of jobs in America
it is easy for me to understand why so many of my peers
and fellow Americans, like me are disheartened.
When we consider the future of our own generation in regard to personal financial security
it is easy to see why so many of us have moved to protesting and accusations
while others have decided simply to turn away in disgust, and hold a disdain for it all.
We can no more demonize the rich for being rich
than we can assume the poor to be worthless simply because they are poor.
Nor can we seek that each person might get paid according to their needs
without taking the bait on the hook of communism.
Yet as a people we enter into this very problem when we advocate class war.
We must not seek to punish and tax our corporations
simply for their vast wealth and power, surely they will leave.
Nor can we continue to ignore the financial needs of the middle class
or our poor, surely they will quit working.
I can not look around my home, office, or vehicle,
outside, or even at the very clothing on my body
without being faced by the innovation, products, and opportunity that has improved my life.
This very process of production, distribution, and exchange is slipping
into the destructive lure offered by socialism.
Yet as a nation we threaten our own free market
by continually seeking group regulation and community control.
We must legislate our economy and financial markets
with laws that businesses will want to follow.
My name is Christian William Zagarskas, I want to help the poor taste riches
instead of die trying I want to assist the middle class
in attaining real wealth. I seek to have the rich attain riches more abundantly.
This is why I will look for a seat in my government."
