When we were developing the IQ250, the needs of the world's most demanding photographers
were paramount in our minds.
They insisted that if we were going to produce a back with a CMOS sensor,
then it had to be the best in the industry.
That meant building on the capabilities of the IQ2 series that we launched last year
and combine it with the advantages of a CMOS sensor.
That is largely faster capture rates, long exposure capabilities, live-view,
and much better performance at high ISOs.
What we learned from listening to photographers was
that they did not want to put down their Phase One camera system in low light.
They want the best possible image quality whatever the conditions,
and we can deliver that with an ISO range from 100 to 6400 with a 50 megapixel sensor.
In fact, we believe the IQ250 is now a 'go anywhere' camera solution with the Phase One DF+ body.
Its low light performance is incredible
and it can cope with even the highest contrast shooting scenarios
thanks to its 14 stops of dynamic range.
It is even possible to shoot long exposures of up to 1 hour.
It also features the fastest capture rate of any medium format camera system,
so you can keep on shooting without missing any opportunities.
We are really pleased with how well the IQ250 has performed
and it has exceeded our wildest expectations.
Based on the feedback from our discerning photographers,
we think the product is going to be a real winner.
