in this short video we'll see how we can create a quiz question in SoftChalk
create
we should place our cursor where we would like to question to appear
we choose insert from the menu bar
and then select quiz popper we've got seven different types of questions that
you can use within your SoftChalk create lessons six of them will
automatically score
and the seventh essay
can be read by you and scored
we're going to create a generic true false questions
all of our question dialog windows will look very similar
to the one you're currently looking at
notice the tabs going across the top of this window
question-and-answer
feedback
hint
options and meta data
the question and answer tab is where you would type in the question or in
this case the statement
once you've hindered your question you have the ability to
format specific text by selecting it
i'm going to double click on this word
then right mouse click choose format
and select the formatting option you would like
then we select the correct answer which in this case is true
we can then modified the feedback
we can add additional text inside of our feedback
to expand on the answer the students has given us
and this is true for all of the quiz questions if we would like to we can
also include hyperlinks audio or video files in our response to our students
to create a hyperlink we would just select the text that we want to use for
our anchor text then right mouse click on it and choose hyperlink we would then
type in the link we want our students to access
click ok
and we've now a modified
feedback for correct answer
and also
an incorrect answer
we also have the ability to give a hint
a hint can be in the terms of text and audio file
of video file or even of graphic file
to add an image to the hint we point inside of the image dialog window after
we've already clicked on the show button then right mouse click
choose image from the pop-up menu
click on the select image button
and navigate to where you have images stored
click on select, select image
and then okay
we now added an image to our hint
then we go to our options tab
the option tap allows you to select how the question will appear to the student
it doesn't matter which one of our graphic images or even text that you
use it's just a different look that the student would see
we then
can set a point value for our question and it can be anywhere from zero
to one hundred points if you would like
in some instances you may like to allow your students to retry answering the
question putting a check in the box allows them to do that
in some questions you may allow partial credit that's when there's more than one
correct answer and you can allow partial credit for a partial correct response
we then determine whether we want the question to display
when the page loads that would show that question
or keep the question hidden and display the icon the students would then
click on
to display the question in my example i'll show the question we then click ok
and we've now created
our quiz question
