Welcome to 1000Bulbs.com. In this video, we will demonstrate the differences between PVC
and PE Christmas tree branches. The branches of artificial Christmas trees are made up
of one or both of these two materials: Polyvinyl chloride, commonly known as PVC, and polyethylene,
commonly known as PE. PVC has been the standard for Christmas trees for decades. Manufacturers
construct PVC needles by cutting a thin sheet of flexible PVC into long, flat, rectangular
strips that are then attached to a twisted wire branch. PE branches, by contrast, are
injection molded and three-dimensional, making them much closer in appearance to actual tree
needles. PVC is inexpensive and thus very popular. PE, however, is much more realistic
and is preferred among interior designers. Because of the cost of PE, manufacturers of
high-end trees usually mix PVC and PE branches with PE at the tips and PVC used as filler,
for a realistic, cost-effective solution. For Christmas trees, wreaths, and all your
