Hi, I'm Leo Bancroft and this is model Julia and today I'm going to show you a really sophisticated
up do that's really easy to achieve. First of all, we take a dramatic side parting
on Julia's hair. Then we're going to apply some mousse; again I apply the mousse onto
dry hair and that really helps create a shine. We must make sure we also apply the mousse
right onto the hair line. Now I've dried in the mousse, I'm ready to apply the ponytail.
I want to keep the ponytail quite low so all the focal point of the look is at the back
of her neck. All I'm going to do is hold the entire ponytail in my left hand and just with
this bungee band, I'm going to hook it into the hair and wrap it round. The final hook
again goes back into the hair. The ultimate hair accessory for this look
is the classic doughnut ring. I'm simply going to pull the ponytail through the ring and
press it into the back of Julia's head and then begin to distribute the hair and separate
that ponytail. Now, there are levels of neatness. Use your
fingers if you want a messy look, use a brush if you want a contemporary look. Then the
clever bit and probably the most simplest part of this look; taking an ordinary hair
band, we can seal and press the hair around the doughnut by placing this over it.
Once the hair band is in place, I'm literally just going to twist the rest of the hair,
the remainder of the hair, the ends of the hair, around the doughnut ring and tuck. Just
a Kirby grip, if I just turn Julia slightly to the side, we can see that the grip can
go into the doughnut, into the hair and fall behind my bungee band.
To finish your glamorous bun look, apply two teardrops of serum into the palms of your
hands and warm up. Simply press down onto the top of your head to create the ultimate
shine finish. And there you have it; the perfect bun.
