Hi, this is a video about my previous masks I used.
The first is the Respro Techno mask. 11000HUF (~$55) + filter 3000 HUF/pcs/a month ($15/pcs/a month). All: $235/year
I used this sometimes with city and sometimes with Sport filter.
This was quite good, basically OK. But there is some "but".
For example: the strep part of it heavily stretched.
The velcro has only limited surface connection with its pair because of stretching.
This mask you see is 15 months old.
As you can see this alu snap is deteriorated.
Ooops just broken in this second!
I read that you should set this alu snap one time.
But each day you have to open and close it a little. After a year the aluminuium is getting tired.
The bottom sid eof the mask is small. Your chin is free and pollution get in here.
And after 15 months is a trash now.
The next I used to use is the 3M 8835. 1400HUF(~$7). Criticalmass.hu users recommended me this.
I liked it more than Respro. :) Honestly if I compare Respro to this I have to tell that Respro is a child-game.
Respro can only stop pollen and motes of dust.
Ok, first time this is ugly. You look like an alien. In exchange for this you can't smell exhaust fumes, gases, smog.
You cant feel these in this mask even following a bus too!
It has more advanced ventillation system, valve is very good.
Disadvantages:
This hasn't enough surface to chin too. Almost same problem with Respro.
The alu patent also vulnerable.
Problem no2: this rubber surface is too slithery.
The sweat makes it very very slithery. :(
And this rubber side is broken too after 3 weeks.
Summary: good mask and very cheap. You have to change it every month.
This is the Venitex M1300VC. 600HUF/pcs ($3/pcs)
One day I run ot of masks and I have to buy something immediately just for that day.
This has FFP3 filtration standard as 3M too.
I was totally surprised after first day. AWESOME mask!
Breathing is a little bit difficult than in the 3M.
But as you can see it has a huge space for your chin. Fits very very good!
In this mask the rubber side is gluey.
You look like Mickey Mouse in this mask. :)
But I have to tell price/value is the best with this Venitex mask.
Very good filtering capability too. Same as 3M.
In the Respro following a bus you can smell exhaust fumes and smog too.
While the filter is fresh in Respro we can say that is not so bad. But sides of the filter there is nothing to close the way to you nose.
I couldn't breathe with city filter. So I changed it to sport filter.
Thanks for rubber sides the other masks are sealed from outer air.
These industrial cheap mask are much more better. Venitex has a cost of $36/year! OMG
