Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to talk to you about
supplies that you're going to need to create your really fun stuffed pin cushion or toy.
I'm going to go ahead and use felt. Felt is such an easy inexpensive fabric that you can
find at most craft stores. They come in these little sheets of little squares that are usually
about 25 cents a piece and the variety of color is just so much fun and you can get
everything from this gorgeous bright blue to these really nice shades of pink. I'm also
going to be using embroidery floss which is also you can find at any of your local craft
or fabric stores. It's just a six strand embroidery floss and again this is another thing that
comes in such a variety of colors that sometimes it's overwhelming the choice are so brilliant.
I'm also going to be using some sequence because we're going to add some character to the eye
by adding a little sequence. Another thing you can use is rhinestones to add to your
eyes or those little goggley eyes; sometimes those can be a very little cheesy. Or even
something like this which is a doll of friend of mine made and these are just doll parts
that you can find usually online but a lot of times at your local craft store or hobby
stores will have these fun colorful eyes like this. After that we're also going to be talking
about how to make a pattern and we're just going to be using some basic shapes. You're
also going to need fiber still stuffing and that is just pillow stuffing or toy stuffing,
a glue gun and thread that is either going to match or contrast with your fabric depending
what you sort of like for this look.
