OK! Well, when we started this Logic course in 1988 students … [off-camera interviewer:
at the Open University] at the Open University, not all students had their own personal computer
because they were quite expensive at that time. So, the university bought … I think
it was two to three thousand PCs and rented the PCs to students if they could pay, well,
a very small annual rent. Still had to pay a rental and they quite literally were put
in the post. And so students would receive a PC in the post and at the end of the academic
year the students would have to pack it up inside a box and send it back to the university.
