I can help a student learn in possibly two hours
privately, while it might take or 5 to 6 hours for them to learn in a group.
There are numbers of things about the end of this pool that I think are really striking in terms of
advantages for learning and advantages for the teachers as well. Speaking from a swimmers
perspective.
When you are in place over the mirror
with the current pushing on you,
the instant when you
make a correct position
you can feel right in that moment
that you're making a correct position. So you get time and valuable
feedback, because you can stay in place over the mirror with noticeably more ease. When you
get into a more streamlined or a more balanced position.
We will usually be taking you either from the surface or we'll put the camera
underwater and show your body line, show where your hands are going, show how
the kicks
are working and so on. And then
once you stop, we'll show it to you right on the screen and you can see largest forms of
what you actually just did in your stroke
And know the adjustments you can make on the next.
From the teachers perspective
while working with the student here, where I'm literally
inches away from them,
if they make an incorrect movement. I can correct them instantly. I can reach in, I can read position they have. I can check
tension of the neck. I can check tension in the hand,
re-position the hand.
I can help with the timing of the stroke
and so on,
stroke by stroke as they do it. Normally
teaching from a pool deck and having this fun in the pool moving up and down.
You may notice in the second or third stroke that they don't
quite have correctly what you want them to do.
And then they thought it will go all the way down to the other wall
we're not just wasting time. We're also
imprinting a movement
that you don't want going into muscle memory. And here
we don't waste time
and we also don't have that period where
imprinting an incorrect movement.
But in the moment
that I observed
I can fix it
you can feel it.
And you get feedback from the current, I can feel more relaxed. I can feel
more ease. I can stay in place
on the mirror
and not where
I recently called studio
and it conveys
that there is an attention to detail. There's a kind of focus and so on.
There's a lack of distraction when you come in here
you the student and I the teacher
are both focus a hundred percent on what you're doing. What you're
experiencing exactly what your needs and challenges are.
The Total Immersion Swim Study is just the best place to teach and the best place to learn swimming.
We've had all ages here
from from six months to seventy-plus. We've had all
levels from non swimmers to ironman
triathlon veterans.
And they were all able to get what they needed
in this pool with Total Immersion Instruction.
