Hi, Mike Johnson at vexxt.com. Today I want to talk about your first impressions with
a customer. A lot of times we get into a store and immediately our experience it's just so
bad that it really kind of dampens our intentions to browse or look for anything. So, I want
to caution you on how you greet customers and it doesn't just mean, you know the first
thing you say to him, lot of time you go into place and their security system or their door,
what have you, makes certain beep or tone that really put everybody on edge, so be mindful
of the entire experience, you know do they come in, do they notice the security system
first before they see people and products. Or, you know is it kind of a welcoming tone
and maybe there's some pleasant background music or something, just be very mindful of
what you are doing to them. And great example of that is for Moe's Southwest Grill. If you
have ever been to one of the Moe's restaurants, soon as you walk in you hear everybody that
works there say "Welcome to Moe's", in fact they pretty much yell it. And you know, kids,
my kids ask to go there just for that aspect, they feel like it's a big deal to be welcome
like that. So see what you can do to talk to your customers and say to them besides
"Can I help you" or besides just kind of looking up and you know giving them a blank glance,
make sure your employees know exactly what they need to say to customers to greet them
and to continue the conversation, so that they are more apt to make a purchase and browse
for further items and return and stay engaged. So for more tips like this and to find out
