First, the students coming here should think
should decide exactly what they want to study here.
It is not worth coming to study general degrees
It should be precisely logistics,
or petroleum engineering, etc.
Because that way it is easier to be admitted
Then they should search which university
teaches that speciality the best here.
They have to do a reasearch on the internet
Because sometimes students write to me
without doing a reasearch first
asking how this and that university is
They ask me how much the university
say, Macquarie University
requires the IELTS score to be
It can be looked up on the university website
But instead they do it the easy way
And ask a student in Australia
So they should do a comprehensive research first
The ones coming for the master's degree
must have a work experience
If one does not have a work experience
meaning, came here right after the bachelor's
then it is not worth even coming here.
Because even if they do come
as some Asian students do
They get lost in the middle of the lecture
and don't understand what is talked about.
They understand the lecture
but don't understand its application.
Because there is no on-job experience
and how the stuff is applied.
It does not matter in which field the experience is.
Experience in any work environment would do.
Also, when they come here
if they have work experience
they could find a job in that field
if they look for it
It is an advantage
Also, it helps develop common knowledge
Also, about new cultures
the person should be interested in different cultures.
If one think's to come here
to hang out only with students of his home country
Like the Azerbaijanis I met in Germany
There were quite a few of them
who were hanging out only with Azerbaijani students.
We already can speak Azerbaijani language
We know Azerbaijani culture, too.
But if one is travelling to a new country
They should have an interest and desire
to find out the culture
and history of that country
Another point is that the Azerbaijani students
not only Azerbaijani, but from different countries who come here
they think that it is the university
that has to teach everything
But actually here
you have to learn stuff from fellow students, too
As much experience one has
a year or two the least
it is easier to talk to the ones with work experience
about the job, about the career
But if you don't have an experience
you are like "What are they talking about?"
It is good here
compared to the US, Europe
it has advantages and negative sides
The negative side is that the life is expensive
in comparison
The amount that a student
spends in Germany in a month
they spend in two weeks here
But the main advantage here is that
the students are permitted to work
Because when working
one uses the language more often
and also gains work experience
Does not matter whether you work in
a restaurant or some company
You still get life experience, work experience
And they legally permit here
To work part-time
during the semester
Not more than 20 hours a week
And full time during the breaks
And regarding the educational system
it is very good
I do recommend it.
