This is how to refill Brother TN-210 toner cartridges.
An original TN-210 cartridge set costs upwards of $280. Why not refill your perfectly good
cartridges from as low as $17.49 a refill. Let me show you how you too can save over
75%.
Step 1. Remove the toner cap.
Step 2. Empty out all the old toner. This is very important because if you have two
different toners in the cartridge at the same time, your print quality will be compromised.
Here is a bottle of InkOwl’s high-quality TN-210 toner.
Step 3. Pour the whole bottle right into the cartridge.
Step 4. Put the cap back into place.
TN-210 cartridges have a flag gear which tells the printer if the cartridge is new. Here
is what yours should look like. If you don’t see this gear, you’ll need to purchase and
install a flag gear separately. See our video for details.
For your printer to recognize your refilled cartridge as new, you will need to reset this
gear.
Step 4. Remove these two screws.
Step 5. Remove the cartridge cover.
Step 6. Bring the flag gear to the full position. The flag gear should wobble but be held in
place by the spring.
Step 7. Reassemble the cartridge.
Congratulations, your cartridge is ready to be installed! By refilling all four cartridges,
you’ll save yourself $210 and throw four less cartridges into the landfill.
Take a moment, think green, think refilling, think INKOWL!
