I just had my first tarot card reading.
♪
What's your name?
(reader) Sally.
(Tommy) What's mine?
(Sally) I don't know
(Tommy) I'm just kidding. You don't know?
Going into it, I thought that - really? A tarot card? What's she gonna know?
You know, from a deck of cards.
(Tommy) You know what I mean? To me, it all seems kinda silly.
(Tommy) I feel a little heat.
(Tommy) She was trying to transfer energy into my hands, she had me shuffle the cards.
(Tommy) Play a game of 10-card tarot here? A little pentacles wild? Where we going here today?
And then she would describe the cards as she would pull them out of the deck.
And that was sort of, my story.
(Sallly) And this is exactly what it is this year.
Great, great changes. Huge changes.
(Tommy) Good thing I didn't do this last year. I would have been screwed.
To say that it's a "year of change" - there are 365 days of the year.
Many things happen within those 365 days.
(Tommy) Thirsty Thursday every week is a celebration.
That's nice. So.
Yeah, I think it is kind of a hustle.
She was all about that money to start.
(Tommy) You know, for just rattling through a deck of cards,
and picking out a couple of sixes of swords, and cups, and things.
Come on, these are tough economic times.
We'll go 7.50, right? for 5 minutes?
Just a little reading to see what's going on, right?
(Tommy narrating) I think I'd do another tarot card reading,
but go into it with my eyes more open.
Really, know that none of this stuff works.
It's all just a gimmick and a game.
And you know what? It's a way to separate me from my $7.50.

(Tommy) I feel like heaven - how could - we have thousands of channels of television.
We have the internet, the iPhones, telephones and all that - smartphones, all that good stuff.
Stores like crazy. You can go get anything you like.
What's better than this? This is fantastic.
