Chapter 1. The homecoming. The routes of the salmon.
>> JACK IRWIN: Since the dawn of time,
the migration of the sockeye salmon has been among the most extraordinary in animal kingdom.
Every year,
driven by primordial instinct, thousands of salmons embark upon an epic journey of homecoming.
It's a journey that many begin and few survive.
But this year,
scientists studying the migration are reporting some very unusual observations.
I've travelled to the Pacific Salmon Foundation, in Vancouver BC,
to speak with one of the foremost experts in this field: Professor Kinsey
So, correct me if i'm wrong,
but what you are seeing this year is that
not only are the salmons arriving much faster than any year on the record
but they are also arriving in much greater numbers.
So, why is this?
>> PROFESSOR KINSEY: Well, the answer is actually quite simple: Trabber.
>> JACK: Trabber?
>> PROFESSOR: Indeed. We've seen that the salmon have begun planning their migration on this new service called Trabber.
>> JACK: Wow!
Naturally,
I had asked professor Kinsey to elaborate upon this extraordinary service that was revolutionizing
the journey of the salmon.
And very kindly he did.
>> PROFESSOR: Step 1:
Choose a name for your trip. In this case "Going Home" and you are ready to go.
Step 2:
Once you have your trip page set up, you can start searching for flights on Trabber,
and Trabber will allow you to compare on a single page the results from around
70 travel sites.
Step 3:
When you find a flight you like, just click the save link that you have next to
every flight.
Step 4: And the same goes for hotels, rental cars and so on. Just keep clicking save
to send any interesting option to your Trabber trip account
Step 5:
At any point you can invite your travel companions and show them what you've found.
All you need to do is add their emails.
Step 6: This way, they can see all the options and comment on them.
Step 7:
They can even search for more options and add them to the Trabber trip account
on their own.
Step 8: When everything's ready,
next step is to make the reservation by using the booking links
in your Trabber trip account.
This takes you to the travel agencies websites to seal the deal.
Step 9:
When you receive the confirmation emails you can forward them to a Trabber email
and then, as if by magic,
all the details will appear on your Trabber trip account page.
Step 10: Before leaving for your trip you can print your Trabber trip account
to have everything you need on a single page.
You can also access your information from your mobile anytime, anywhere.
>> JACK: Wow!
What we have seen today is amazing.
The best part is
Trabber isn't just for fish.
Trabber can also help travelers like you and me
