Ever run into this message when you're trying to watch a YouTube video? In this tutorial,
we'll explain why this message appears, and what you can do about it.
The player error message can sometimes happen under the following conditions:
If the uploader is making changes to a video, if your internet connection is experiencing problems,
if the video is being removed, or if the video is experiencing some other issue.
To troubleshoot this error, here's what you can do.
Wait 30 minutes and then try watching the video again. In most cases, videos should
start playing normally. If that doesn't work, try refreshing the page.
Changing the video quality can also help. Click the gear in the player, then pick a
lower quality setting like 240p or 144p. Wait for the video to load a little, then press play.
If you have multiple browser tabs open, close them and try playing the video again.
You can also try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. See this Help Center article
for instructions on how to do this on YouTube-supported browsers.
