Now it's time to make a presentation with our media group. As you can tell
I've added a few more images for us to work with. We go up to "Create,"
"Presentations,"
select,
and a new screen opens up.
First thing we need to do is name our presentation. I'm going to name this one
"example presentation."
And we're offered a couple selections as far as screen size.
We're going to leave it on the traditional
ratio but, we could if we wanted to move up to widescreen
or some of the other choices.
No, we do not want it publicly viewable.
We're gonna skip the password.
We're going to leave it in the default folder
that LUNA creates, "My Presentation."
Then select "Save."
This opens up into this screen. We actually need to select "Open Workspace."
This brings us to a new window.
For some reason the Create Presentation
creates a separate window to work in.
And here we are in our presentation workspace.
As you can see it has three parts. The actual center is where we work on the images.
The bottom tab is our media group that we have opened.
And if you click on the tab it will actually roll it away. This will be
something we will be doing often.
And up on top is our presentation. It also can roll away.
Let's open it back up,
and let's begin creating a presentation.
We selected an image,
Drag it into the center.
And to give ourself a little room, let's rollaway the presentation,
rollaway the way the media group for the moment.
As I role over the image you can see a grey box appears around the outside.
I'm going to come up and select this icon.
This enlarges the thumbnail into its full-size. It saves into presentations
better this way.
Let's unroll our presentation.
And, over we go,
"Save slide."
This takes anything we have in our workspace and moves it on to the slide
that we had created.
And it's a very good practice after you save a slide just slide right on over and
create a new slide.
Otherwise anything in workspace will go on top of the slide that you had
previously created.
So let's create a new one.
And with that created we can go down and begin to create another slide.
So let's come down, open our media group, drag a new image into the center,
let's give ourselves a little space.
Let's move this up so we can see it just a little bit better.
And I'm going to once again enlarge it from the thumbnail into its
correct size.
This is information if you ever get stuck.
This is actually the MetaData once again.
Let's close that back up. Scroll over the top.
This is the thumbnail just like we had in the media groups.
And if I enlarge
once again the thumbnail will work.
This icon will put the image back to its original size which can be rather
convenient.
But for this time I really do want to zoom in and show
one of my slides
with detail.
Now I'm going to
come up
grab in the grey area, I can move it over.
I can also grab the corner
and I can reduce the image down a little.
And let's move it slightly over again.
Open up our media group and then let's put an
image
that's this
same image that we can compare to.
We will create it in its normal size.
I'll need to move it over. Once again I'm grabbing only in the gray area.
And to reduce it down I find it's easiest if I actually move the image down from
the top just slightly. Then
I can grab that corner and reduce its size to the size I like.
Now I want to create both of those images onto a slide.
Save slide.
There they are up on top.
And as good practice I just
create new slide.
This time I'm actually going to write some text in.
I'm going to
put in something that you can see that shows on the slide
presentation.
Create it, and let's grab a
new image into
the workspace.
We'll give ourselves some room.
Enlarge it from its thumbnail.
And come up
and save the slide.
And let's make one more slide.
"New slide"
"Create"
This time though I'm going to actually select a different media group to make
this slide from.
I'm going to select a second one.
Grab an image from that group.
Put it into my workspace.
Give myself a little bit of room. We'll make
it, enlarge it from the
thumbnail.
Come up and save.
Yet, as I look at this slide it doesn't quite meet the group. So I come down
and this icon right here, delete.
I select that
i'm going to get rid of this slide. Do I want to? Yes I do.
And there's other icons we can use up in this slide tab as well.
I can move this image
over into a different spot. I'm going to reorder them.
I could move it back. I could move this one
into the center if I wanted.
I can also edit. That would be the properties, the names and the descriptions.
I could copy an image.
This delete at the top, the next one. This is actually delete the whole
presentation. Only select that if you really don't like what you have made.
Once again I can export this whole presentation into Powerpoint. Metadata
and all.
And the very last selection is play presentation.
We're going to select that now and play what we have created.
When you select play presentation, it opens up into a new
window. And here we are at the presentation that we created.
What makes LUNA so wonderful is these are not static images.
These are images that are connected
to the online server that they are saved on.
So you can actually work with the images as you are playing the presentation.
You can make them bigger and smaller and move some around.
You can zoom in.
And you can reduce them down if you want to move them out of the way.
Let's go to our next image.
This is the one that we had written some description on.
And here is our description up at the top.
And we can move to the next one, are very last one.
And that is LUNA. I hope you're as impressed as we are. They make beautiful
presentations.
What is so special about them as you just saw, is that you can actually work with
the images
as you are presenting them. And good luck making your own presentations.
