So the thing about Johnson is that as the cards are being dealt no one knows if we're
going to be playing the high round or the low round. When you look at your cards you
can decide. What is a hand that you need to bet with and make sure that you play the high
round on the first go round of checking your betting? Well, that would be a pat hand like
this that would not play well as low at all because it's middle to high cards. It's a
made hand. You caught a made hand before the draw. You're going to bet this to make sure
that the hand is forced to go high. Likewise if you had four to a straight and it was open
ended you wouldn't want to bet that unless it was four to a low straight. But if it's
middle or high cards, bet it, lock in the high round.
