My name is Gage Fullerton, I’m from Sacramento. I flew down here for a week, I didn’t know
what I was doing and it’s been 7 short days and now I feel confident to go out there and
start making some money. I did the paintless dent repair training. PDR is definitely profitable,
my uncle has been doing it for quite some time and he’s making a lot of money. There’s
actually so much work that he flew me out here so I could train and help him out.
I feel prepared. It’s a week long course, it teaches you basics and after that you got
to take it on your own. They definitely give you all the tools and the steps you need to
go out there on your own and make a living. I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer.
Garrett is awesome; he knows what he’s doing. He’s been in the business for 16 years.
Any question you have, he knows plus 5 more. He’s very available, small class. I had
a class size of 5, but even if there were 6 or 7 people, there’s still a ton of one-on-one
time. He makes it real personalized; he’s teaching
me a lot different that he was than everyone else. He takes its one person at a time, we’re
working on different things and it really goes at our own pace. Dummy hoods, at first,
on the first day like I said it was really tough, second day you start to see a progression,
third day the hood is easy and that’s when they switch it up on you and that’s when
you start working on a real car. It’s tough again and then the day after that it gets
a little easier. By day 6 and 7 everything is a lot easier. You can really see the progression
that you’re learning. The first few days it was taking me about
45 minutes to an hour to per dent. You’re just looking for the right spots to push up
and I finally found right where I was going and I pushed up a whole dent in about 45 seconds.
It just went to show me how much potential I do have once I know what I’m doing and
where I can find my tool. That was a really good feeling. Instead of spending 45 minutes,
I spent 30 seconds. My flight leaves here Friday and I get back home Friday and Tuesday
I’m pushing out my first dents.
