My name is Sam and I am a dog, so if you want to get to know me you must be interested in
my life and my journey to recovery. See on April Fools day, of this year I lost all function
of my left hind leg, I looked like the walking dead, only I was not walking. Now, only after
one month of recovery I can now walk. This is the story of my life and my will to survive.

Sam is my Husky dog, I say Husky dog and not Siberian Husky because he defiantly has some
other mix of breed. I have even had wolf breeders try to tell me that he has wolf in him but
I don't think so.
Sam entered my life in an interesting way. I did not find Sam, it's more like Sam found
me, I was home one day and I could hear something digging through the trash cans up in the driveway.
It was daytime so I didn't suspect it to be a coyote and for a moment I thought that it
might be some poor person. To my surprise it was Sam. Yes that was his name when I found
At first I thought that Sam was having seizure because Sam has had about 10 seizures in his
I was watching TV in my room when I noticed Sam sitting and moving in a strange position.
Once I noticed that he was not okay I grabbed my phone and took this video.
Now I know that it was not a seizure because when Sam has a seizure he is not able to walk,
rather he is on the ground, on his side and his body is tense and quite quivery. But like
I said, I did not know what was going on.
Like I said it was not his usual seizure because he was walking around my room and even tries
to eat which I figure is not a good idea, so I removed the food from his sight. I decide
to let Sam ride it out and about 5 minutes later he came too.
I did not take Sam to the Vet because, like I said, at the time I figured that it was
a seizure, but oh was I wrong.
