Ok lets start with the Elevator. Make sure the node/dummy sits on its place, where the part has to rotate around.
I have used boot, boot_L0 and boot_L1as naming for the parts.
With the rotation tool, we give the elevator an angle downwards, to make a full moving range available. Half the way up we have our null point - horizontal. This way we can move the Elevevator up and down from that point with EPM.
Now we must reset the Pivot point to the dummy/node.
Reset to parent and select Orientation.
Take care to have "Keep Object" ticked!
I repeat the steps to show them again.
Of course we need to do the same step with L1, best is to use the INPUT field for rotation, hold Shift while clicking, and give it 30 degrees rotation to L0 and L1.
You can repeat same steps with the ailerons, I have used one rear door for each one. In this example the ailerons have no negative angle.
Rudder, using bonnet, bonnet_L0 and bonnet_L1, gets the same preparing. Rotate it half the rotation angle, set the Pivot back to the node.
Now we have to see which direction the rotation axis have: rudder is using Y, ailerons and elevator use X.
Next step is setting the RotX, RotY or RotZ value.
Right click the node, and tick User Properties to open the submenu. If that RotY is empty, not existing, or if there is a wrong Rot direction, does not matter. Delete it if necessary and make it new.
Double click the value field, and enter a rotation angle: -60..0 See the double point!! Important. Since I pre-rotated the part with 30 degree, the double is used. 60 allows me to rotate the part 30° from center in each direction.
Remember, Bonnet uses Y axis, so we have set a RotY value. And besides that, test out if you need -60..0 or 60..0, depends on the direction it moves.
I repeat the steps for you.
We use the same technique for each EPMed part if necessary. Remember, boot uses the RotX value because of its X rotation axis.
When done, press APPLY and OK to save the value..do not be scared, ZModeler can forget the values if you reopen it, so: only reopen it for setting different values and just reenter them or add a new Rot if its gone completely.
When you have done all your parts, simply export to wft. How to set up a line and use it ingame will be the next parts!!
