Hey internet! It's me, Summer.
Um, if you haven't met me before, hello!
I'm Summer! I live in Alaska! And I'm awesome.
Um, if you have met me before, hello, again.
Welcome back.
I have returned to the world of vlog-dom.
Because I want to have a record of my Weight Watchers endeavors.
Um, I rejoined about a month ago, and I have so far lost just over seven pounds.
We'll touch on that in a minute.
and I am super excited about that. Not only am I excited to see the numbers go down,
I am dealing with some extra challenges this time, I am dealing with some health symptoms that are giving me some MASSIVE fatigue.
SO bad that right now my biggest goal is just to eat three meals in a day, because
I am struggling desperately with my energy so much, that many days in the last couple of weeks,
it has been impossible for me to even get up out of my bed, cross the apartment, and get anything to eat out of the refrigerator.
That has required too much energy.
So. Um. You know, new struggle!
I am wearing my ActiveLink, but right now my, my ActiveLink goal says "zero points,"
it just wants me to see, it just wants my activity to go up a LITTLE.
So right now you're seeing me at a pretty good moment.
I'm feeling good, I, um, this is a good part of the day for me.
But yesterday if you had seen me, it would not have been the same at all.
So moving forward that's something, if you're going to follow this vlog, that you've kind of got to be aware of.
This particular Weight Watchers journey is going to have some ups and downs that may be a little more dramatic,
because something's going on with me and I don't know what it is yet.
At any rate, so, here's try number eight-hundred-and-forty-two.
I actually think this is like the fourth time I've rejoined Weight Watchers? I'm not sure.
I'm doing meetings, which I think is a good thing for me.
I'm also tracking on paper. I really like this paper tracker.
Excuse me, thank god you're all on the internet and not here in person. Because I'm a much bigger nerd in person.
And I really also like the Success Book that came with the 360 kit.
If you have this, I really recommend going through it, you know, just at your own pace.
I've had this for like a month and I think I'm like five pages in.
But, when I do it, you know when it's in the right moment for me, then it's helpful, it kind of keeps me on track. I like it.
So, let's touch on my progress so far. Um, here is my starting information, if you can see there.
I started at 278, which I believe is my highest weight ever.
My 10% goal is to lose 28 lbs, and my 5% goal is to lose 14 lbs.
That feels really big to me. I have a hard time envisioning myself losing twenty eight pounds at this point.
So I'm just trying to think about the 5%.
which is 14, which still feels far away, but at least doable, so.
Here's my progress so far, which I just like to show off because, I don't know, it's cool.
But I'll show you my graph, because that's a little easier to follow on a video.
Let's see. Um... here's my weight loss graph.
Here's where I started at 278.
I managed to lose... I'm not sure how much... my first week,
but it was enough to get me a five-pound sticker, which made me very happy.
My inner kindergartener loooooves stickers.
Last week I lost a little more, but yesterday, which was my weigh-in day,
I go Saturday mornings, um,
I had gained point-six pounds, and I am pretty sure
that's because this was a very rough week.
As far as eating. Um.
Making sure I ate meals, or snacks, or anything was really tough this week.
Plus, because I was so, so, SO fatigued, I had very little activity to speak of.
So when I had the opportunity to eat, like if somebody offered to bring me food, which usually means drive-through food,
or if somebody made me dinner, which usually means comfort food,
then I took the opportunity because I could not feed myself this week or last week, on a lot of days.
I'm kind of struggling right now, guys.
I look good right now, but this is a really good part of the day for me, so.
If you are a fellow "spoonie," (and if you know what "spoonie" means),
say "hey!" because... what a struggle.
It's hard, so hard to lose weight anyway, and
then to also have fatigue, or pain, or whatever on top of it, I think that's, um... really a thing.
So I would love to hear from other people who are doing Weight Watchers, or otherwise trying to lose weight healthily,
maybe other people who also consider themselves "spoonies,"
and I'll put, if you have no idea what I'm talking about with the "spoonie" thing,
and you really want to know, I'm going to put a link down below on the YouTube page.
So that you can see the story that goes along with... it's kind of a long story.
But... if... I would love to hear from you, is the short version.
I'm trying to be fast, so I'm talking really fast,
and I keep looking down at the timer, and it keeps adding...
I am out of the vlogging loop, my friends, and
I am so not editing this, I am just not editing this.
So. You're going to get crazyme.
Using up all of my energy, while I have it!
I am so glad to be back on YouTube, guys!
I have kind of missed vlogging. So,
I will tell you a couple things right up front.
One, this is not going to be a perfect journey, because I feel like crap a lot of the time.
And I am expecting a lot of ups and downs.
But I am also planning to stick with it this time.
And I really hope you guys will encourage me to stick with it.
Whether it's an up or a down, or just an "I'm exhausted and I feel like crap,"
please encourage me to stick with this, because I would like to be a healthy weight for me.
I think that is important, and I think it is important for me to pursue every kind of health I can, because I feel like poop.
So please, please, chime in and encourage me if you feel like it, because I would really appreciate that.
Lots of ups and downs, not a perfect journey.
I'm going to look lousy on a lot of these videos!
You are not going to see very many flattering videos of me, because one, I don't usually wear makeup,
and I really don't wear it any- lately, because I feel like crap so much of the time,
and it takes up energy that I could use on other things.
Oh, I cut my hair for the same reason! I actually really like it.
I'm thinking about growing it out again because I kind of miss braids and hair accessories,
but to be honest I don't have the energy for any of that.
So, I'm kind of enjoying the short cut right now.
I'm on Tumblr, if you want to follow me over there
I'm Ichoosetobewell, is my username, I choose to be well, all squished together, no spaces.
You're welcome to follow me. I do Weight Watchers, I'm a Meetings member as of a month ago.
Which I think is the right path for me. Tracking on paper appears to be the right path for me.
If you have a... if you're a Weight Watchers member, and you got the 360 kit,
and you have the Success Handbook, and you have not tried it yet, I highly recommend it.
It's kind of a nice way to pull your focus back in.
I'm not very far into it, because I just don't have the energy most of the time,
but when I am able to kind of sit down and plod through it, I love it.
I love it, it's a nice little focus thing.
I'm going to cut this short because this is getting really long.
Say hello! Let me know where you're at on your journey!
Link me to your video! I don't know, say hey!
Go follow me on Tumblr! I don't know, go for a walk if you feel like it!
Say a little cheer for yourself if you feel like it!
Hey! Tell me a song that you really like working out to, or walking to,
because I am trying, when I have the energy, to go for little walks,
and I'm finding that music helps me, helps distract me from being really wiped out tired. So sometimes it lets me go a little bit farther.
So let me know what music you're grooving on right now, okay?
I will talk to you later, drop me a line! Bye.
