Hi, my name is AJ Schubert.
Welcome to a series of tutorials on the basics
of video production.
This series is designed for students who need to create
a short video project and need help getting started.
In this series, I'll walk you through the basic steps
of making a simple yet professional looking video.
There are a total of eight sections in this series.
The first is "Planning your Video Project".
This section will help you be more prepared when it
comes time to begin filming your project.
Second is "Video Equipment Considerations".
In this section I'll provide information about the
type of video camera equipment EIU makes
available to the students.
The third section is "Video Techniques".
Because of the amount of information this section covers,
"Video Techniques" will actually be broken down into
four parts--Understanding Video Formats, Composition, Framing,
and Camera Movements.
The fourth and fifth sections discuss audio and lighting.
The sixth section is "Testing Your Filming Location",
followed by the seventh section entitled
"Putting It All Together", which ties all of the
previous sections together through demonstration.
The final section introduces resources for the last stage
in video development, which is video editing.
Together, these tutorials create a solid resource that combines
fundamentals of filming, examples of techniques,
and information specific to EIU students, so let's get started.
