DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue
our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. Now, it's time to go over that, oh so dreaded
subject of landing your aircraft back on the carrier. It's actually not as hard as you
might think it is. And you have a couple of options for landing your aircraft. You can
either fly it in manually towards the back of the aircraft. Keep in mind, you cannot
land your airplane on the front of an aircraft carrier or you can go to your command menu
by pushing the Alt key and then by pressing D. This will order your plane to land itself
automatically.
One tip I have for you is to practice your aerial combat skills well in advance of having
to go into an actual mission. You're going to find that fighting in the air is not like
fighting on the sea, and situations will get complex and confusing. Remember, at any time
you need to, you could always give up control of your aircraft and let the computer fly
it for a little while if you need to.
