Hey Shubert, what'cha got?
These are my new picture rule cards. Want to see?
They're about me. Isn't this so exciting?
Let me show you somethings. You may walk in a group,
you may walk, wait! I'm not in this picture?
Wait, I thought these were my rule cards!
Ok... I can handle this. I can handle this. Ok.
You may walk in a group, you may walk with a friend, Becky
turn the page. There
I am. Oh, it has a No sign. You may not run in the classroom. Kids are really
going to learn from these.
Yay, yay, yay. There I am. You may clean up your work. I do
everything. You may clean up in your workspace with a friend.
I would never do this, but you may not leave a messy workspace.
Right there, right there, right there. Shubert do you know
why you made a picture rule cards? Mmmm....
Not really. Well,
children are governed by
images in their head. If I said to you,
"Think about strawberry shortcake," what do you see your head?
Mmmm! I see... Strawberries, cake,
whipped cream and some funny doll.
No, really, I see the whipped cream and the cake and the stuff.
So you see a picture in your head? So
that's how you're governed. The pictures in your head tell you what to do, so
all the pictures are going to tell you what to do to be successful in class.
Yayyy! Yay, yay, yay, yay, yayyy!
Lots of times the teacher says, "Don't run,
don't do this, don't do that. I get
confused." Well these pictures will show you exactly what to do.
You get two pictures. You get two pictures.
One of what to do,
another of what to do, and then one of what not to do so
that you know exactly what to do in the classroom and be successful. What are the little
ones for? We have big ones.
And little ones. Me, me, me, me, me! Well, Shubert,
the little ones are for individual children who might need their own
set. Do you think you'd need your own set?
Sometimes I would. Well then you'd have
them so you know exactly what to do. And you can do it.
Yay! I can do this!
I can do this! Me, me, me, me, me... Everyone come get my
rule cards, you will love, love, love,
loooove them!
