Hello. This is Dr. Brian Weiss and I'm in Tampa, Florida, now, just having completed
a one-day workshop at the I Can Do It! Hay House Tampa conference. I thought that I would
talk a little bit about what happens in a workshop. So this is a good time to do that.
In a one-day workshop, I generally have several, often four, experiential exercises. Two are
large group regressions. This is a great deal of fun, but it is also fascinating. In them,
I bring the group back into childhood, in utero, and then into past lives. Lots of people
are able to remember even in this group setting, and about sixty to seventy percent of the
people will have a past-life memory during the workshop, during this regression. During
the day, there are two of these large group regressions. In addition to the regressions,
which means "going backwards in time," I also do a psychic or intuitive exercise called
psychometry, where we break into groups of two people and share an object and feel the
energy of the object. As you do this, you begin to formulate or to receive intuitive
visions or answers or events, these kinds of things. Sometimes it's becoming aware of
a physical or a psychological condition in your partner. It's really mind-opening. During
the session today in Tampa, some of the most interesting experiences came from the psychometry
part of the day. People were able to come up with very small details of their partner,
who often is a stranger to them. Details of past lives -- we had someone look into the
past life that their partner had experienced earlier in the day. And these were strangers.
We had people describe childhood homes and have other experiences, and pick up medical
conditions and feelings. Particularly there were mediumistic events going on. People were
able to relay information about loved ones who had already died, and somehow strangers
knew very private information and details from the lives of loved ones. So, all in all,
that exercise shows that we are very connected. We are not islands, separate from each other.
We all are connected at a deeper level. The last exercise is a healing exercise, a kind
of Gestalt psychological exercise, where you dialogue with a particular illness or symptom.
That's often very powerful and healing for many people. So, the day consists of many
experiential exercises. I know often you've asked me about these events, these conferences:
What do they consist of? What happens during a workshop? And this is what happens during
a workshop. We have these exercises. We also have ample time for questions and answers,
and informal interaction, book signing, and a lot of it, in addition, is my telling about
cases and thoughts and experiences that I've had as I travel around the world doing these
workshops. If you have the opportunity, I welcome you to sometime attend one of these
highly experiential past-life-therapy workshops.
