Hello and welcome to this how-to video for the i-loview. Today we're going to go over
some of its advanced features.
If you're at an ATM, or looking at a computer screen or something shiny, you might and need
to turn the i-loview's light off. Hold down the brightness button in the upper right for
2 seconds to toggle the light on and off. You'll hear a chime and see a visual indication
on screen to tell you that you have turned the light off.
If you want the light back on, simply repeat these steps.
If you want to zoom all the way out, just press and hold the zoom minus button for 2
seconds.
As you can hear, every button on the i-loview is accompanied by an auditory cue.
While it is nice to get these cues, you might find that if you are in public, people start
looking at you a little funny because of all the noises coming from the i-loview. Turn
the sound off by holding down both the zoom + button in the upper left and the brightness
button in the upper right for 2 seconds.
You'll hear a chime and see a visual indication on screen to let you know have turned the
sound off. Now there is no sound played when I press any of the buttons.
Press these buttons again if you'd like to turn the sounds back on.
The i-loview comes with a 2 GB SD card so that you can not only take pictures with this
device, but save them as well.
To save a picture to the SD card, simply hold down the snapshot button at the top of the
i-loview for 2 seconds.
You'll hear a chime and see a visual indication on screen that to let you know that you have
saved the picture.
How do you go back and check out your stored pictures?
This is all housed within the settings menu on the device. Press and hold the Brightness
and Color mode buttons to access the menu. From here, you can use the jog dial to navigate
between the items.
Starting at the top left, you have your photo gallery, contrast control, light intensity,
Volume level, an option to Save your Current settings as the default, and TV out format.
Press down on the jog dial to select an option. Let's try that on the picture frame icon.
Here you can navigate left and right through pictures and also zoom in, or apply a color filter.
Pressing the Snap shot button will return the image to its original size if you've zoomed
in. And if you want to delete the image, press down on the jog dial and choose "Yes" to delete
the current image.
Press the Brightness and Color mode keys again to go back to the menu. Now let's navigate
to the contrast control. Press down on the jog dial to access the setting. Now move the
jog dial left and right to adjust the contrast level. Press down to accept the changes.
If at any time you want to save your settings -- magnification level, contrast, brightness,
color mode, etc, just navigate to the disk icon and press down on the jog dial. This
will make sure your current settings always come up by default when you start your i-loview.
Next to the contrast control we have the light intensity setting. Here you can adjust the
intensity of the light, or turn it off entirely by pressing the jog dial left and right. Press
down the jog dial to accept any changes.
The next setting we have is the Volume control, just like the other settings, left and right
will increase or decrease the setting and pressing the jog dial will accept any changes.
Lastly, the TV icon lets you change your TV output format in case you are outside of the
US. Televisions here in the US use the NTSC standard.
When you're done with your settings, press the Brightness and Color mode buttons again
to exit out of the menu.
Finally, if you ever get stuck and want to restore your unit to factory settings, hold
down the Zoom+ button while turning the power off. The next time you start the device it
will be reset to the factory default settings.
