Today we will make moong dal cheela that can be packed in tiffin boxes of kids.
Let’s see what all ingredients are required for making moong dal cheela.
Moong dal - ½ cup Soaked for two hours and then grind it.
Oil - 2-3 tbsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece (grated)
Salt - as per taste (½ tsp)
Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Add ginger and salt in moong dal.
Also add green coriander.
Add some more amount of water as it is thick.
Whisk until all ingredients mix nicely.
We are making these cheelas for children so avoid red chilly.
You can add red chilly or green chilly if making them for yourself.
Preheat pan.
The consistency should be bit thin then that required for making pakoras.
Spread ½ tsp oil on the pan.
Pour 1 tsp mixture on pan and spread it all around like this with help of a spoon.
When the color of surface changes it means it is roasted from beneath
Pour oil all around the cheela
Spread some oil on the top as well.
Now flip the side.
Roast until it gets brown from the other side as well.
Take off the cheela in a plate
Like wise make other cheela.
Moong dal cheela is ready
Fold both the cheelas and pack them in tiffin of your kid along with tomato sauce or green coriander chutney with less chilly.
Kids will surely love eating these cheelas.
