Now let's do the shadow
and just like last time to give it depth let's put in just basic lines. I mean you can take
a marker or something and fill this in darker if you want you know whatever but I like to
use just simple lines real quick just so you can get the idea of a shadow where this part
is darker. I mean you don't have to use your ruler, you know you can just go in do it by
hand real quick but since I'm trying to make it look real nice I'm just going to use a
ruler. It doesn't matter what direction you pick either. Just pick a direction and make
sure all the lines go to it. You don't want the box to look all weird and having it all
cross sectioned or whatever.
So there we go, our box with a shadow floating. It gives us a sense of floating and here's
are light source shining down from each of the corners to the box. So you can see this
is our ground plane and how it's floating and that's how you draw a box with a shadow
floating.
