Welcome, well today we'll talk about Bar (barre) chords and this will be our second session on Bar chords.
And we will talk about the A-chord and the F-chord.
And we will talk about the "A" chord and the "F" chord.
And we will talk about the "A" chord and the "F" chord.
So, you are probably wondering why it's important for me to have this Bar chords.
So, you are probably wondering why it's important for me to have this Bar chords.
Well for me, it's really important when I 'am looking for a melody of a song, like I said before.
Well for me, it's really important when I 'am looking for a melody of a song, like I said before.
Well for me, it's really important when I 'am looking for a melody of a song, like I said before.
Just to sing along or just to find which note that I have, instead of going to a piano and plucking it out.
So, I would bar all around and find the melody and it's much easier for me to do that.
I don't know about you, but for me it is much easier.
I don't know about you, but for me it is much easier.
I don't know about you, but for me it is much easier.
I don't know about you, but for me it is much easier.
So lets get to it and go over...actually I would have a chart (bar-chord) of the A-chord
So lets get to it and go over...actually I would have a chart (bar-chord) of the A-chord
and the F-chord, so I will show you that. So there will be the A-chord (chart) and the F-chord (chart)
and the F-chord, so I will show you that. So there will be the A-chord (chart) and the F-chord (chart)
You can always come around and check it out later. Ok!
You can always come around and check it out later. Ok!
So a Bar chord, like I said before, we take this index finger and just bar the whole fret.
So a Bar chord, like I said before, we take this index finger and just bar the whole fret.
And this you would just move down the fret board and add the chords to come, before it.
For example, this is the A-chord {A chord}
And if you move it up here. It will be A-sharp or B-flat.
A-sharp or B-flat, and if you move everything over here ...so...the index finger
We are now on fret two.
So this will be B.
This will be C, this will be C-sharp.
or D-flat, This will be D (fifth fret)
This will be D-sharp or E-flat
This will be D-sharp or E-flat,(sixth fret)
This will be E (seventh fret)
And this will be e ...oh this is F. Sorry!
Ok! and that..F-sharp or G-flat. (9th fret)
This will be G (tenth fret)
This will be G-sharp or A-flat (eleventh fret)
Yeah A, and you don't need to go that far (twelfth fret). Ok. So!
So this was our A-chord. Now we do the other Bar-chord.
Which is: the F-chord.
So when you move the F-chord here and then you bar here.
And you change fingers. This becomes F-sharp or G-flat
This becomes G (second fret)
If you notice this position is basically this G.
This G, is this. So very similar here...because aah
That's the G, G-sharp, A-flat.
This is A (4th fret)
A-sharp or B-flat (5th fret)
This is B (6th fret)
C (7th fret) C-sharp or D-flat (8th fret)
D (9th fret), D-sharp or E-flat (10th fret).
E (11th fret), F (12th fret)and you will never need to go that far.
Anyway, my fingers are really big. Ok!
So if I wanted to sing along "Aloha oe"
I would bar...probably bar it like before. So we continue
from "Aloha 'oe", the first verse. The last time we learned the chorus. So..
today we continue with...ahh..verse one.
So it would be.... Ha'aheo ka ua i nā Pali.
Ke nihi a ʻela i ka nahele
E hahai ana paha i ka liko.
Pua ʻāhihi lehua o uka.
So now that we got that, we can continue and aah..
try to see if we could play it like the Hawaiians do.
With this melody and your bar chords, it makes it easier for you to almost imitate a slack key (Hawaiian guitar) guitar player.
On an ukulele. {song melody} : Haʻaheo ka ua in nā Pali.
Ke Nihi a ʻela i ka nahele.
E hahai ana
paha i ka
liko
Pua ʻāhihi le-
-hua o uka
Well I hope that was helpful and...
I hope that this will give you more incentive to practice your ukulele.
and ahh...come back next week and well have more of the ukulele.
