Let’s have a look now at the APAC region where we saw some surprise tactics and cunning ways to end a match.
EL Gaming once again dominated their matches with 5:0 victories against Twist and The Coalition.
Caren Tigers ended up playing 2 tie breakers as they struggled against Dark Wolves and Twist.
The match with Twist a particular highlight as we saw an outstanding protective play by Twist using an e100 to block the approach to his team mate.
The highlight match however from the APAC region however goes to Meltdown vs Coalition on Ruinberg as Meltdown on the defence brought 2 tier 9 Batchat’s, one E-100 and then 5 Maus!
Despite doing over 11,000 damage, The Coalition couldn’t focus tanks down quick enough as Meltdown reigned supreme in a very drawn out brawl.
Unlike the RU and EU regions, the APAC region is already decided as the top 8 teams all have the minimum points required to be safe.
EL Gaming are running away with the number one spot on 24 points.
Meltdown are right behind them on 19 points.
B Gaming in 3rd and Dark Wolves in 8th are only separated by 4 points, so the middle part of the table is still wide open for the teams between those positions.
Gold Bass could still tie with Dark Wolves on the final day, but only if they were to win all their matches.
With their last match being against Meltdown, that seems highly unlikely.
Team Epic Gear Profit, Run and Twist will sadly be out of the Gold Series once phase one is completed.
