hey! that's cool, isn't it?
hi everyone! my name is Ace
today I'm going to makea brief introduction about
my 3D modeling or CGI skills
I've been working in a model, that allows me to make it has
whatever human color I want, like:
European
Afrikan
Asian
and American
and, why not non-human colors like:
blue or green
it can be short
it can be tall
it can be skinny
it can be strong
and as I work for a public of ''muscle women fans''
it can be extremely strong
now, let me add some clothes here
ok? now... at position!
- ready? - yeah!
ok, spinning!
I work with computer graphics since 1993
believe me! it was not easy at those days
today it is still complicated, but those days were tough
lack of computer power
a few resources and features
ahm... only a couple of softwares in the market
issues to find and trade information
because internet was an urban legend at those days
so: no tutorials, no downloads, no chatrooms...
so, usually 3D artists like me
learn (eh...) by attempting and failing
AND here we have another problem
these softwares were, (just like most of today)
''english only''
and when I fell in love for this 3D modeling and animation world
I hadn't learned english yet
and YOU young boy, still complain about ''how you can't make your sphere to bounce, huh?''
T*! T*! T*! T*! T*! T*!
at 1995, things started to get better because of the ''Windows 95 revolution''
but I simply couldn't get used and comfortable to this ''new computer era''
so about 2000 I stopped dealing with 3D modeling
I can give you more details about this, but not today
I am going to make some tests
let me see one thing
is this bothering you?
because I am getting too... too long to make this video
because... I... you know... I stuttered sometimes, I stucked and blanked
and... I...
whenever I commit a mistake, I'm going to put a cut like this
so...
disconsider if you see some ''flashes'' like this
and if I am here and then I am here, here, here
here, here, here, here,
here, here, here,
HERE! ok?
besides my 3D skills, I also draw and because of this I work as illustrator
I create stories and characters, but by judging myself
I am not that good as a comic stories artist because my way of drawing is too rendered
so I take so long to make a drawing and comic stories take it to be fast
probably I would be a good artist for the cover art for these stories
and I never appreciate that much of drawing too many times the same character
and that's one more thing it takes to make comic stories
thinking about this I decided to make my characters as 3D virtual sculptures
for you who don't have a clue what this means, it is like to make a sculpture
and then you model and paint, and then, all you have to do is to place some lights,
put it into a pose and take a picture.
then you change its pose and take another picture instead of drawing a bunch of shapes and painting them for each scene
so... it is still art. it is still made by the same hands. the difference is only the technique
lucky me I can do both. I tell you this because I know artists who only draw or only model
I wanted to create a basis model and from it to change values related to height
bodytype, skin color.... etc. And softwares which
allow you to do that are too limitaded... for me! I tried some, but soon I quit
so at 2005 I returned to use with that old software
and I have to study it a lot because I've lost 5 years of evolution of this software
and about 2008 I started to feel that this software was no longer serving me
so I started to try others then I met ''Blender''
and monthes later I met the ''Linux'' world
from 2008 until the begining of 2010 I was working on migration and I was using both systems
but today I am almost ''Linux-only''
this year I invested a lot of my time in learning Blender and I started it by modeling some cars
and one of them was my old Maverick. As I have two of them here, and I'm restoring both myself
I got them disassembled so I can take measurements and pictures of each part
that's why I got such result. Soon you will have a video of me working on this Maverick
after this I continued to work in my virtual doll and now almost by the end of the year 2010
I'm getting the final adjustments. So I will be finally able to make my characters and soon you may see what I have to tell
5 years. For those who think ''computer graphics is easy work'', 5 years for this
I've been hearing in interviews people saying that the new movies artists being lazy by making ''CGI'' instead of ''animatronics''
and that really pisses me off. I will make in the future videos with detailed explanation about what CGI work really takes
speaking about future videos, I can make tutorials about Blender and about the old softwares I used to work with
but I'll only do that by requests. So...
if you don't subscribe me, if you don't comment or vote bellow, if you don't tell a friend about me,
if you do not show interest in my skills here
Sorry! But I won't spend my time making tutorials to the flys or to the walls
AND!... If you are not an artist, if you don't understand (and don't even want to) about 3D modeling
you are just a muscle women fan, and you are here just because of ''muscle woman theme''
in other words: ''shut up and show me some muscle!'' I want you to subscrime me anyway
as I also work as photographer and I have some contacts,
who knows I can bring you some talents here in the future?
thanks for watching and I'm waiting for your manifest about this.
see ya
