The sabzi is ready now.
Today, we will make lotus stem with potato’s sabzi.
Ingredients-
2 lotus stems (300 grams)
2 big potatoes (250grams)
4 tomatoes (200 grams) 1 inch ginger. 2 green chillies.
70-75 grams cottage cheese.
1 amritsari green peas wadi.
2-3 tbsp chopped green coriander leaves.
2 tbsp oil.
1 tsp coriander powder.
1 tsp salt.
¼ tsp turmeric powder.
1 pinch Asafoetida.
¼ tsp cumin seeds.
¼ tsp red chilli powder.
¼ tsp mixed spices.
Firstly, we will mix all the vegetables and ingredients.
We put cut the tomatoes and put them in the jar.
Remove the stalk.
Cut the green chilli and the ginger so that it can be grinded.
Now we will add cottage cheese and grind it again.
The spices are ready now.
To make the sabzi, firstly heat the cooker.
Pour oil and heat it.
Then add cumin seeds.
Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fry them a little.
Now add the grinded tomatoes & spices
Stir up the masala in medium flame so that the oil doesn’t come out from the masala.
Add red chilli powder.
Stir it in low flame.
Till then we will cut the vegetables for the sabzi.
Remove the stalk from both the sides.
Remember to stir the masala time to time.
Now, cut them into thin round pieces.
Wash them once again
Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium size.
The vegetables are ready to cook now, we had already washed them before.
The masala is cooked now. You can see oil at the top of the masala.
Now break this wadi in a stone grinder.
We have a powder of wadi and now put it in the masala and then put the vegetables also.
Add salt, mixed spices and cook them & stir continuously till 2 minutes.
Add 1 ½ cups of water.
We can add water according to your self too.
Cook it till one whistle blows and dim the gas and cook for 2-3minutes.
Its done now cook for 2-3 minutes.
Let the pressure release and let it stay in the cooker only.
Add coriander leaves and mix it.
Take it out in a bowl and Garnish again with green coriander.
Our Lotus stem potato sabzi is ready and looks very tasty.
It can serve upto 4-6 people.
In this sabzi we use cottage cheese for the gravy.
You can also make gravy according to your choice like cashew nuts, poppy seeds, melon seeds, coconut, sesame seeds, gram flour or make a simple gravy with tomatoes and spices.
