Feras. A lonely child for this family
waiting for every happy moment to share it with him
but these are very few moments in his life..
sleeping on a hospital bed more than his own
he was born with a heart defect
which made life for his parents, Asaad and Amaal, a series of suffering and bitter waiting
we are newly married. we never got to spend one happy day with him
all the time we are trying to take care of his medicine and go to pharmacies..
this is the way it is.. we can only thank Allah ...
today, Feras was moved to the Intensive Care.
his condition has gone worse. local doctors cannot do much any more
because of the conditions of besieged Gaza
he needs to get to Israel as soon as possible!
Palestenian doctors managed to contact their Israeli counterparts
an Israeli hospital hardly agreed to admit the sick child
they started paper work for leaving Gaza
the father, Asaad, was in a race against time to secure an exit permit
for it is much more difficult than admitting him in a hospital...
the Israelis will not accept you without a personal photo on the birth certificate
another problem.. there is not room for object though, it is the invasion and their complications
Asaad found a solution for the recent photo problem and put it on the new certificate
which was not expected..
he finally managed to finish all the paper work
I can't believe it. Thank God it is finished
At home, Amaal is preparing to travel, alone, with Feras
the invasion only allows one of the parents to leave
i feel scared and worried about going there alone, but i feel strong being with him [Feras]
so the paper work here is finished. A bigger problem for the family remains
passing the Israeli checkpoint "Erz" quickly and easily
but we did not go to the checkpoint. we received a call from the hospital..
Where is he? Where is Feras? ...
I want to see him..
Joins us from Gaza now Amaal Al-Mazloum, Feras' mother
and Dr. Hassan Khalaf, secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Hamasi government
Amaal, I cannot find words to express how sorry I am for your loss
I am also a mother just like yourself, to a daughter almost as old as Feras R.I.P
I can't find words for a question.. What do you want to say for the world
I hope that every child that I saw besides my kid in the hospital to get better
he has the right to live and find cure
not suffer and die in front of his mother's eyes like what happened to me
I watched him suffer but there is nothing that I could do for him
I wish for all children suffering to find the cure and have the right to be treated anywhere
