Welcome to BCL easyPDF Server. This is a short video showing how to configure easyPDF Server.
This is the Settings tab. This tab will open by default.
Click the "Add" button. This will allow you to create a set of folders for an individual user.
Under "Folder Settings", click the button to the right of the Watch folder, and browse for the folder you want documents to be placed for conversion.
Please keep in mind that easyPDf Server will convert all files in the Watch folder as well as files in any subfolders that may be present.
Repeat this with the Output folder,
the Archive folder,
and the Error folder.
The Output folder is where PDFs will be put after they are created.
The Archive folder is where a copy of the converted document will be stored in its original format.
And the error folder is where a copy of documents that failed to convert will be stored.
Be sure to designate separate folders for Input, Output, Archive, and Error, as if the same folder is used, the conversion will fail.
After choosing the Watch, Output, Archive, and Error folders, click the button to the right of "Log file".
This will allow you to create a .txt file where the log will be stored. Enter a name for the file and be sure to add the extension .txt to the end of the name.
Once this is done, click
If you want to add a new set of folders for a new user, click the "Add" button again and repeat the steps from before.
Please note that each Watch folder must be in a different folder directory in order to function properly.
Additionally, ensure that the log file for the new set of files either has a different name than the original log file, or is in a different folder.
Now you should all be set up to convert PDF files in your Watch folder. Thank you for watching this video.
