Go! Go! Hello, my name is Matt Cail, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show
you today how to throw a Super Bowl Party! It is important to remember that for your
beverages that you offer at your Super Bowl party, alcohol is an option, not a necessity.
If you don't want alcohol there, you don't have to have alcohol at your Super Bowl party.
There are several really excellent non-alcoholic beverages that you can offer, starting off
with good old basic H2O (water). You should make sure that your guests are really well
hydrated, especially because a lot of the foods that you are going to be serving (lots
of starches and carbs) are going to be the type of foods that can dehydrate people (especially
people yelling at the T.V. in terms of positive or negative emotions). So, water is a great
staple; don't underestimate serving it to your guests. Also, you want something with
a little more kick. A little more sugar. You've got sodas; lots of sodas. The big one and
a half or three liter sodas that you can go out and buy on game day (again, going with
your name brands or some of your cheaper store alternatives). Also, you want something a
little bit more like wine and alcohol that is still not alcoholic, you have lots of your
sparkling cider and other products out there which have a little bit more of that almost
alcohol kick, but don't contain any alcohol. Of course, a lot of your mixers that you might
be planning...you can actually have them not be mixers. They can just be juices. Juices
and other things that you usually use when mixing up with alcohol...just keep them straight
and non-alcoholic. You can have all types of juices: cranberry, apple, blackberry and
all sorts of stuff available at your local grocery store.
