Hi, how are you?
In a previous video we explained what DIY meant and
made paper cones for rice or flower petals
Today we are going to make elements for your center pieces
that are very low budget and easy to make.
BEFORE YOU START, WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Today we are going to make elements for our rustic style wedding
For this the colors I have chosen brown and beige.
I have saved an empty mustard jar.
You can use any jar depending on the size you want.
This is very cheap.
If your wedding is next year start collecting jars!
The label will come of with warm water.
This way your center pieces will be practically for free.
I bought a linen cloth.
There are a lot of designs.
This one has lace incorporated in the middle.
And because I'm a bit clumsy, I prefer to use sticky tape insteado of glue.
It is easy to use.
This one is very pretty.
It has lace aroung it.
A bit of glue and a pairs of scissors.
An there we go.
Let's do it!
STEP 1: CUSTOMIZE THE LINEN
When you make a center piece with glass jars, you will need more than one
probably a few to make an assortement.
Remember it when you start saving jars. You will need 4 or 5 per table.
The jar I am using is quite small
and the linen y thick.
I have cut off the brown cloth on the top.
So you can only see the lace
and will wrap it around the jar.
This way you can see the glass through it
and it is not all brown.
STEP 2: STICK IT TO THE JAR
For this step I will need to use some glue.
I hope I don´t mess up!
A little drop.
And stick it.
The first piece...
Perfect!
STEP 3: YOU COULD LEAVE IT LIKE THIS
I have stuck the linen to the jar
and cut of the extra lenght.
We could say this is finished.
It´s rustic, DIY...
I'm going to put a bit more detail on it.
I just love this lace sticky tape!
STEP 3: STICK THE TAPE ON THE JAR
And this is the final result.
I've added the lace.
It´s very easy!
You can put natural flowers in it or dried out flowers
directly with a bit of water
or use the green sponge florists use
and stick the flowers in it.
This is the way Paula and Pablo
did it at their wedding.
