(Jon Weizenbaum) Today we are paying tribute to the volunteers
that so generously support the people that we serve. Their dedication
and their commitment affects our agencies programs and our services and
improves the lives of people that we serve in so many different ways.
(Donna Martin) I was very honored. It gives me opportunities for awareness,
and it gives me a voice to be able to touch lives to make a difference in our word,
world and to pass it forward.
They've given me more than I can ever give them, and that's
why I want to volunteer.
It means we're part of a really cool group.
Were part of a group that
people that were up there- they're doing this thing every day.
That's what it means- that's exciting.
It's very exciting. It's very reaffirming to know that
the direction we've been heading with our health and wellness initiative is being noticed,
and that we're doing something right.
Oh goodness yes!
As long as the lord lets me have the health to do it, I plan to do it.
What I tell them is: you eat well, to live well, to age well.
Everday: Texercise! One. Two.
I volunteer
because I enjoy it,
and it makes life more fulfilling as a retiree.
His passion for serving is incredibly inspiring
and it's contagious
and he is our
mentor and leader, and he is most deserving
of this Choice Award.
(Dan Maxwell) There's something for each and everyone of us to do.
Each and everyone of us has unique talents that can be brought to bear
on what the world needs. You have to talents and you know
they can be put
to good use in volunteering.
