"Nicole: Hi everybody! My name's Nicole, I'm from store number two eighty-five, in Cherry
Hill, New Jersey. We're at our regional national go green event, for Kohl's Cares for Kids,
and today we are collecting toys for Second Chance Toys which donates to local Head Start
programs. Man #1: The energy and the camaraderie and
the commitment of all the associates, not only within the district but within the region.
Nicole: What store are you from? Attendees: Sanders Square - Selinsgrove thirteen
fourteen - store two seventy one Brandywine, Betsy from the Marlton store, Dave from the
Turnbull store. Man #2: Thirteen Thirty.
Nicole: Where's that? Man #2: Forest Hill, Maryland.
Woman #1: East Lansing. Man #1: Harrisburg, PA. We have a couple hundred
associates here, I think about nine hundred associates participated all over the event,
within the stores and here today. Woman #2: The camaraderie and the team spirit,
because I think that's really what Kohl's embodies when we talk about Kohl's Cares for
Kids, but it's also the associates working as a team to help out the kids, and to help
out the community, and green to be green and do things for Earth Day.
Nicole: Here are Kohl's volunteers, they bring the toys into the loading dock that we have
donated. Fabulous! Thank you guys! Man #3: We see the sea of purple that's here,
this really spans across four states, fifty-seven stores, and we had over a thousand associates
get involved in this event. And when you think about it, you collected the toys, you cleaned
the toys, you tagged the toys, and it is going to make an impact and a difference in the
community. And I just can't thank you enough, so to the whole region fifteen Kohl's family,
and their extended friends and family who are here, I'm not worthy.
Man #3: Because not only have we been able to collect, clean, and tag over six thousand
toys and whatever came in today, but because of your involvement and what you were able
to do, we're going to be able to present a check to Second Chance Toys for eighty four
thousand dollars. Crowd: Kohl's Cares! Kohl's Cares! Kohl's
Cares! Yaay!"
